Day Shift February 26
25-002043 – 900 BLK Altamaha Street – Property – The resident reported finding a $5 bill containing suspected Methamphetamine in the street near her house. Due to the contamination, the money was placed into Property for destruction.
25-002049 – 1100 BLK Chippewah Drive – Deceptive Practice – Police spoke with the reporting party who stated a suspicious party had knocked at her daughter’s door and showed her a check that her mother had supposedly endorsed. She had never heard of the company, nor does she recall endorsing a check from a company. Her daughter had not given the suspect any of her mother’s information. No suspect information was given to police.
25-002056- 4214 Ringgold Road- Warrant Service – A man was served on an East Ridge warrant for identity theft and was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
Night Shift February 26
25-002060 – 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road – Follow-up / Warrant Service – Through a continuing investigation, police determined that two subjects illegally entered the former East Ridge Retirement Center on February 17 and stole several items of value. The two individuals were previously arrested for burglaries at the same location on February 19. Based on the new evidence, arrest warrants were secured against each individual for Burglary and Criminal Conspiracy. The new warrants were served at the jail for the subject still in custody. The other previously made bail, and his new warrants remain active.
25-002067 – 1300 BLK ST Thomas Street – Well Being Check – Police responded to a disorder on St Thomas Street and determined there was a verbal argument between two neighbors. One of the individuals retreated into his home and would not speak with responding officers. Concerned for his well-being, police spoke with the man through a closed door until he agreed to come out and confirm he was not injured or in distress.
25-002069 – 2600 BLK 4th Avenue, Chattanooga – Assist Other Agency – East Ridge Police responded to a support request from the Tennessee Highway Patrol. A THP Trooper attempted a traffic stop with a white Ford Taurus and the driver fled on foot into the Eastlake Courts area. ERPD and CPD units established a perimeter and attempted to locate the suspect; however, he was not found. Warrants are pending identification of the suspect.
25-002070 – I-24 Westbound – Traffic Stop / Assist Other Agency – Following a traffic stop, a party was taken into custody for an arrest warrant through the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. The original charge for the warrant was driving on a suspended license.
