The City of East Ridge and all municipal buildings will be closed on Friday, due to the possibility of inclement weather and snow. Essential employees, including the East Ridge Police Department, East Ridge Fire Rescue Department, and East Ridge Public Works Department, will report for duty to maintain and monitor inclement weather conditions.

Additionally, the City of East Ridge Sanitation Department will be closed on Friday. This closure will include recycling services. All sanitation services will resume tentatively on Monday, weather permitting. All properties scheduled for recycling pick-up on Friday will be rescheduled for Monday, January 13, 2025. Please make sure to place trash carts to the curb the night before your scheduled pickup for prompt service.

The City of East Ridge Street Department has already begun salting and sanding pre-treatment on all roadways on the north and south sides of Ringgold Road. Beginning Friday, the department will plow all collector roadways as necessary, including McBrien Road, Moore Road, Belvoir Avenue, S. Seminole Drive, Germantown Road, Spring Creek Road, John Ross Road, Bennett Road, and Frawley Road.
