Three people were injured in a head-on car crash, Friday night on McBrien Road.
According to East Ridge Fire Chief Mike Williams, the incident happened in the 1300 block of McBrien Road just before 10:30 p.m. When fire units arrived to the two-car crash, one person was trapped in one of the vehicles. Crews used hydraulic rescue tools to free the trapped person, he said.
A total of three people were taken by Lifeguard ambulance to a local hospital. The condition of those injured are not known by authorities, Chief Williams said.
The East Ridge Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash, Chief Williams said.
“Great work by all that were involved,” Chief Williams posted on the City of East Ridge’s Fire and Rescue Facebook page.
