Soccer Pioneers Shut Out Central

East Ridge’s boys’ soccer team improved to 4-1 on the year by beating district rival Central, 5-0, Tuesday at Camp Jordan.

Rivaldo Yoc Bamaca scored twice for the Pioneers, which improved to a perfect 3-0 in District 6 A/AA play. Hunter Schobert, Antonio Novo Smith and Adam Adem each added a goal.

C.J. Bond, Eric Lopez and Joel Matias picked up assists for East Ridge, which out shot Central, 23 to three.

East Ridge’s next match will be Thursday at Camp Jordan as the Pioneers host district foe Marion County. Game time is 7 p.m.
