The East Ridge United Methodist Church is having a special event this Sunday to commemorate the fifteenth anniversary of the events of 9/11.
A special “Service of Hope and Remembrance” will be celebrated on September 11 at 10:45 a.m., church officials said. The event will include worship, special music and remarks by civic leaders, including the East Ridge Fire Chief and Police Chief. Also part of this celebration will be the church’s opportunity to honor those who are currently serving as first responders in the Chattanooga area and all are encouraged to attend this service and luncheon.
