Ricky Ruiz’s late second-half goal was the difference as the Red Wolves bested Union Omaha, 1-0, in USL League One play, Saturday at CHI Memorial Stadium.
Jason Ramos got the assist in the 79th minute of play. Tim Trilk recorded a pair of saves in goal for the Red Wolves (8-1-8).
The win moved the Wolves to the top spot in league play. It also allowed the Red Wolves to boast 10 matches this season at home without a defeat.
The Red Wolves will travel for its next two matches. Friday they will play Toronto FC II, before traveling to Fort Lauderdale on Sept. 4.
