The Red Wolves regained its top spot in the USL League One standings with a 3-1 win over North Carolina FC, Saturday night at CHI Memorial Stadium.
The Red Wolves (10-2-10) have amassed 40 points on the season and lead Union Omaha (10-2-7). The Wolves will try to keep atop the standings as they will host New England Revolution II this coming Saturday. Things get underway at 7 p.m.
Jonathan Ricketts and Juan Galindrez staked the Wolves to a 2-0 lead, scoring within six minutes of each other. Those goals came courtesy of assists from Marky Hernandez and Ricky Ruiz.
After North Carolina scored its only goal in the 69th minute, Hernandez almost immediately answered with an insurance goal for the Red Wolves.
