RAM Clinic at Park

Free medical attention will be given by volunteer doctors and dentists at Camp Jordan Park this weekend.

The Remote Area Medical (RAM) clinic will be held this Saturday and Sunday, September 30 and October 1 at the park beginning at 6 a.m.

Medical services are offered in three areas, dental, vision and general medical. Those services include fillings, extractions and cleaning of teeth; eye exams and eyeglasses; and also women’s health issues.

There is no fee for the service and no eligibility requirements. Service is provided on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no guarantee of service, officials said.

Volunteers will be handing out numbers to potential patients at 3 a.m.. Doors to Camp Jordan Arena will open at 6 a.m.

Dick Cook has lived in East Ridge since the Kennedy Administration when his parents bought a house on Marietta Street. Dick graduated from ERHS in 1976 before going on to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he studied Political Science.
