Myles Pruitt’s three-run homer helped Catholic Baseball to a 19-0 rout of Oakwood Christian Academy, Friday in Independent School Conference middle school baseball.
In the second inning, Pruitt jacked a three-run homer to center. All told, Pruitt had four RBI in the contests.
Catholic improved to a perfect 4-0 in conference play and 5-6 overall. Next up, Catholic hosts Grace at OLPH. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m.
Pruitt’s three-run homer in the second was just the beginning, as Catholic scored all 19 runs in the inning. Cooper Grant singled, scoring one run, Ethan Land singled, scoring two runs, Holder Donnelly doubled, scoring two runs, Noah Winland drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored yet another run.
Sib Evans singled, scoring one run, Sam Baker was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Deagan Bain singled, scoring two runs. Donnelly then singled, scoring one run, followed by Pruitt’s three-run homer.
Not to be outdone, Nathan Wesson jacked a three-run homer to left.
Winland, Catholic’s starting pitcher, didn’t allow a hit in three innings of work.
