Police Investigating Fatal Shooting on Garner Circle

East Ridge police are investigating a shooting on Garner Circle Tuesday night that left one man dead.

According to Police Chief Clint Uselton, police were called to an address in the 1500 block of Garner Circle at about midnight. Officer found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Police began administering life-saving measures before the victim was taken by EMS to a hospital. The victim later died from his injuries.

Chief Uselton said that the three or four people in the house when the shooting happened were still present when police arrived. No arrests were made on the scene, and there is no continued threat to the community.
