The following information was compiled from East Ridge Police Department “pass along” reports.
July 25– Day Shift
808 S. Moore:
The resident called police after waking up to find four (4) of his vehicles vandalized, along with an additional vehicle belonging to his brother. Numerous tires were slashed and destroyed and crudely painted phallic images were applied to some of the vehicles. The victim said his wife thought she heard a noise outside between 3:00 am to 4:00 am, but she did not look outside.
1312 Spring Creek Road:
Police were called regarding unwanted persons on church grounds. It was found that they had permission to leave their things on the property the previous night, however, church personnel wanted them to move on. They left without incident.
336 Cedar Glen Circle:
The comlainant called to report his vehicle stolen sometime this morning. His 2007 white Nissan Altima was entered into NCIC as stolen. The vehicle has black rims and a black roof.
6519 Ringgold Road:
Police were dispatched to the Super 8 regarding a disorder. All those involved had left prior to police arrival on scene.
602 Bonnie Lassie Drive:
A caller reported a silver Volkswagen Jetta had been parked in front of his residence for several days. On arrival, police located the vehicle with damage on both the left and right side. Dispatch confirmed the vehicle was stolen out of Chattanooga. The vehicle was towed to East Ridge Auto Electric. The owner was notified, and the vehicle was removed from NCIC.

July 25 – Night Shift
3100 block Old Ringgold Road:
Police were flagged down by an UBER driver regarding this location. The driver advised that he dropped off a female and male subject and the female said the male wasn’t staying. The UBER driver had another pickup but wanted police to check the area for them. He could not provide an exact location.
3716 Weldon Drive:
Two (2) repo men attempted to get a vehicle from this address. They advised the homeowner and another male subject were in the driveway threatening them. The repo men advised they would try again later to get the vehicle.
323 Camp Jordan Parkway:
Three (3) juveniles called police to report that their fishing rods were stolen when they left them at the pond while they walked to Bass Pro Shop to buy more worms.

July 26 – Day Shift
3502 Ringgold Road:
Police responded to this location after an employee observed a party, they believed to be a known shoplifter inside the store. Police observed the suspect exiting the parking lot of Ace Hardware in a Honda Accord and then quickly enter the lot next door to the Quik N Easy. Officers contacted the subject, identified as Jeremy Conner, as he attempted to disassociate himself from the vehicle, which was displaying stolen plates. Conner was issued a citation in lieu of arrest for the stolen license plate and citations for driving on revoked license, financial responsibility, and driving an unregistered vehicle. Conner was also issued a criminal trespass from Ace Hardware.
6513 Ringgold Road:
The complainant reported her Schwinn bicycle was stolen between 4:00 am and 7:00 am from Waffle House.
6737 Ringgold Road:
A man was found sitting on the sidewalk in front of Creative Stitches. He said that he was homeless and had been brought into East Ridge on this date by the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office. He stated he had been sleeping outside a Publix in Ringgold and Catoosa County relocated him to the Wendy’s in the 6700 block of Ringgold Road.
4214 Ringgold Road:
Charles Ruder Jr. was served with multiple East Ridge warrants at 601 Walnut Street.
941 Spring Creek Road:
Police were dispatched to Park Ridge East Hospital regarding a rape. Upon arrival police spoke with the victim, who advised that the sexual assault occurred in the City of Chattanooga. The Chattanooga Police Department responded to the hospital.
5304 Connell Street:
Josh McLain was taken into custody for theft of property and transported to 601 Walnut Street.
2700 East 25th Street:
Leslie Ross was taken into custody and served with an East Ridge warrant. Ms. Ross was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
601 Walnut Street:
Amber Rogers was served with an East Ridge warrant while in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.

July 26 – Night Shift
5412 Connell Street:
Ronald Paris was arrested with 26.4 grams of marijuana following a noise complaint.
714 S. Lovell Avenue:
A resident on South St. Marks Avenue called complaining about a dog howling every night for the past three (3) weeks. The dog is at 714 S. Lovell Avenue and chained in the backyard. Nobody was at home, so police were unable to speak to anyone about the matter.
1410 Mack Smith Road:
Police were sent to a disorder at the Budgetel. Curtis Jefferies and Heather Gaston were criminally trespassed from the property.
203 Windmere Drive:
Police responded to the area after a caller reported that someone knocked on their door and said they worked for True Green. Police were unable to locate the subject.
3212 Gleason Drive:
Police were called by by a man who wanted to make police aware someone had cut the exhaust from under his vehicle in his driveway. The man stated that he felt they may scrap the metal. The man denied a report stating he planned on replacing the exhaust anyway due to the car not running.
3700 Ringgold Road:
Tonja Miller was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine following a traffic stop at this location.
1453 Mack Smith Road:
Police were called by the night auditor who stated a black male wearing a white tank top had entered the building by following another guest through an open door. She advised she never saw him leave and he was not a guest. Police searched extensively in the building and surrounding property but did not locate the party she advised it is possible he left prior to police arrival

July 27 – Day Shift
4150 Monroe Street:
Walmart Asset Protection reported that three (3) male suspects stole two (2) cases of Modelo Beer and steaks. They advised that the suspects fled the scene in an old discolored Dodge Ram van. Police located the suspect vehicle that was occupied by one of the identified suspects. Bryan Paz-Macario was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail. Mr. Macario refused to divulge the location of the other two (2) suspects.
3609 Phelps Street:
The caller reported that sometime since July 22nd, an unknown person removed approximately $350 from his wallet that he keeps hidden in his residence. The complainant advised that he has several family members that reside with him.
2015 Myrtle Avenue:
An anonymous caller advised that there was loud music continuously playing near this location and that the resident had a scanner, which he uses to avoid detection by police.
525 Saint Marks Avenue:
Police were dispatched regarding a disorder between the residents. Upon arrival it was found that Dwight Land had physically assaulted his girlfriend, Susan Hammontree. Mr. Land was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail. During a search of Mr. Land, a bag of marijuana was located, and he was charged accordingly.
728 Frawley Road:
Police were dispatched to this location regarding a person going through another person’s mail. Upon arrival police spoke with Charles Oswalt, who advised that he confronted an unknown shirtless heavyset male after he began looking through his mail that had been laid down while Mr. Oswalt checked on his laundry. Mr. Oswalt advised that the unknown male later approached him and told him his thoughts about his personality and the steps he might take to harm him. Mr. Oswalt stated that he was fearful and desired a report to be filed.

July 27 – Night Shift
702 Astor Lane:
Desmond Townsend was taken into custody for aggravated domestic assault warrants through the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
6000 Ringgold Road:
A subject struck a pole at the intersection of Spring Creek Road and Ringgold Road. Ringgold Road was shut down for hours as a result of the crash.
3200 Ringgold Road:
Ezra Ervin was taken into custody for driving on a suspended license.
710 Donaldson Road:
The resident set his camper on fire while using the cook stove. He was able to extinguish the fire without the help of emergency services but requested a report for insurance purposes.
3100 Ringgold Road:
A semi-truck became struck in the tunnel on several occasions.

July 28 – Day Shift
941 Spring Creek Road:
Police responded to the hospital after security advised that a patient had escaped from room #2 at the hospital, where he was being held on a signed CON. They advised that he left on foot toward the rear of the hospital into the woods. Officers were able to locate the patient a short distance away behind the AMC Theater at 5080 South Terrace. He had an active probation violation out of Sequatchie County, TN. He was issued a medical clearance from Parkridge East Hospital and then transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
941 Spring Creek Road:
Police received several phone calls about a man running down Spring Creek Road toward the hospital without any clothes on. As units arrived in the area the subject ran into the emergency room and was greeted by security staff. Officers spoke with the subject, who advised that he is currently homeless and suffers from mental issues. When asked about running down the road without clothes he advised that he felt hot and wanted to cool down. After identifying the subject hospital staff admitted him for a psychiatric evaluation.
941 Spring Creek Road:
Police responded to the hospital again after receiving a report that the naked runner had escaped his room after receiving a CON. He was located again, without clothes on, on East Brainerd Road a short time later and returned to Parkridge East Hospital.
4320 Bennett Road:
An alarm was activated at the school. Everything checked secure. The alarm was activated by one of the staff members accidentally.
6100 Ringgold Road:
Officers took over traffic control at Spring Creek Road and Ringgold Road from 5:30 am to 10:00 am due to an earlier vehicle crash involving a power pole. The power pole had to be removed from the engine block of the vehicle that crashed. Power lines had to be rehung on a new power pole.
601 Walnut Street:
Douglas Davis was served with an East Ridge warrant while at the Hamilton County Jail.
South Seminole Bridge:
East Ridge officers assisted the Chattanooga Police Department after learning of a man sitting on the bridge with his feet hanging over the edge. CPD and ERPD established contact with the man, who was upset over a death in the family but did not wish to harm himself. The man’s girlfriend arrived on scene and he agreed to go speak with a doctor.

July 28 – Night Shift
941 Spring Creek Road:
Police were sent to Parkridge East hospital regarding a woman that was claiming to have been injected with meth by someone but refusing treatment. Upon arrival of police the woman agreed to treatment.
941 Spring Creek Road:
Police were dispatched back to the hospital after the female patient, who had previously reported being injected with meth, began yelling at staff in the emergency room. The female was discharged from the hospital and escorted off the property.
6674 Ringgold Road:
The complainant called for police and EMS because he was bitten by a dog in the parking lot of the Roadway. Mr. Sims was transported to the hospital.
6510 Ringgold Road:
An employee from Subway called to report a person trying to confuse her at the cash register. She advised that a man attempted to pay with a $100 bill. The employee advised that he put the bill back in his pocket and then demanded his change from the transaction. Employees at the nearby Baskin Robbins advised that the subject was in their store and attempted the same thing. The subject was described as a black male, approximately 5’02” tall, in his late 20’s, and weighing approximately 140 lbs. He was said to be wearing black pants and a black shirt. He drove away in a dark color Nissan Altima.
6514 Ringgold Road:
Employees at the Mapco called police regarding a female subject causing a disorder in the store. Police contacted the female subject, later identified as Shawnue Monroe. Monroe was accompanied by Rebecca Ward. Monroe and Ward were both issued a misdemeanor citation for a small amount of methamphetamine.
