_ 3657 Ringgold Rd.: Early Monday morning police were called to the Cascades Motel in regard to a possible robbery. According to a police report, an officer spoke with the complainant, who immediately started having chest pains and requested medical attention. EMS was called immediately. The report states that the man told police that he was in Room 51 with a man and a woman when the man pulled a knife on him and took his belongings. The report states that the officer “was unable to get any more information from (the man) due to him having a reaction to crack he had smoked.” The officer spoke with the couple in Room 51 who said the man had come to the room to “hang out” overnight. The allegations that the man had made about a robbery where denied by the couple, and that the man had left his belongings in the room. The report states that the couple bagged up their guest’s belongings and gave them to him in the ambulance as he was taken to Parkridge East for medical attention. The report states that there was no evidence to support the man’s claims that a robbery had taken place. Cascades management told police that the couple were not supposed to be in Room 51 and they were made to leave the property, the police report concludes.
_ 3508 Ringgold Rd.: Police responded to the Walgreen’s, Monday afternoon, in reference to a theft. According to a police report, an officer spoke with a woman who said that she met two men in the parking lot to sell them two mobile phones. The victim said she had been contacted by a person on Facebook about purchasing the phones and agreed to meet her in the parking lot of the Walgreen’s to make the purchase. The victim told police that the man she was communicating with about the sale of the phones advised her that he was going to bring his brother along for the transaction. The report states that the victim said two black males in a tan Chevy Malibu arrived to buy the phones. The victim said she handed the phones – an iPhone 8 Plus and an iPhone 7 Plus – over to the man in the passenger seat of the Malibu. The car took off out of the parking lot headed East on Ringgold Road without compensating the woman for the mobile phones. The report states that police obtained surveillance video from the business but was unable to properly identify the suspect.
_ 3308 Ringgold Rd.: On Tuesday afternoon police responded to the Fabric Care Coin Laundry in reference to a theft. According to a police report, upon arrival an officer spoke with a woman who said she was doing laundry when she noticed an Hispanic woman in her early 30s taking clothes out of a dryer and folding them. The woman told police that the clothes being folded where hers. The victim said she confronted the Hispanic woman and told her that the clothes she was folding belonged to her. The Hispanic woman, the report states, told the victim that she didn’t speak English and left the scene in a black Honda. No surveillance video was available and there is no further information to report.
