The man said he did not know the woman and had no prior contact with her. The man said he had no idea how she got into the room.
Police then spoke with the other man the room was rented to. He said he returned to the room with a female guest after having left for 15 minutes. He was able to stop her near the room where she told him that his friend was crazy. The woman then took off by the exit to the pool. The man told police he continued to chase her through the parking lot and she yelled, “I’ve got a gun.” The woman got into a small blue car parked out front and left.
According to the report, the man told police he went back to the room and discovered that $1,377 had been taken out of his shorts pocket that were in a trash bag in the room. He said he did not know how the woman had any knowledge that the money was in his shorts.
The report states that the front desk clerk said that video surveillance would be available for police to review later in the day.
The report states that both men appeared to be intoxicated and that there was a slight language barrier between police and the Hungarian man.
