Day Shift September 22
23-012076- 4400 BLK Bennett Road- Child Abuse/Arrest- A man was taken into custody for aggravated child abuse.
23-012103 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – DUI – A party was taken into custody for DUI.
23-012099- Ringgold Road.@ Swope- Miscellaneous- Officers were flagged down at this location by a female. She stated she was in a disorder with a male party she only knew as “Miley Cyrus.” She said he was a friend of her daughter and he had been following her around this morning. They engaged in a verbal argument, and she alleged the male party had reached for a hammer. Police located “Miley” at 5512 Ringgold Rd. and identified him. He was transported back to Swope and Ringgold. He admitted both parties were in a verbal argument and stated a buggy holding several things including a hammer was knocked over. Due to various conflicting statements, it was determined to be verbal in nature. The man was transported to the community kitchen on 11th St and the woman was transported to a residence off 23rd St.
23-012088-7600 BLK Standifer Gap. Road – Warrants- East Ridge warrants for Failure to Appear #156430, Forfeiture Capias for Violation of Order of Protection # 143710, Forfeiture Capias for Reckless Endangerment #143711, Forfeiture Capias for DUI #143709, were served on a party.
23-011217-3100 BLK Bimini Pl- Theft- A Spanish speaking officers assisted CID with speaking with a theft suspect.
No Complaint Number Assigned – 6400 BLK Ringgold Rd – Suspicious Activity – A transient couple were observed on the property with their possessions strewn around the west side of the building. Police advised them to move along. Charges for aggravated criminal littering may be pursued if the problem persists.
23-012087 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Rd – Disorder – Employees reported several juveniles on the property stealing items and refusing to leave. On scene, the parties had dispersed. The business requested more police presence between 1415 and 1500hrs during the week to deter the juvenile’s poor behavior.
23-012097 – 1500 BLK Tombras Avenue – Disorder – Officers responded to the Pioneer Frontier Playground after a report of juvenile’s fighting with each other. On arrival, no juveniles were fighting but several older juveniles were advised to exit the play area.
23-012100 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Road – Overdose – Police responded to this location for a female unconscious on the toilet. Officers arrived on scene and lifted the party out of the bathroom and administered Narcan. After a short period of time, the subject regained consciousness. HCEMS and ERFD arrived on scene and tended to the patient and transported her to the hospital for further treatment.
Night Shift September 22
23-012110 – 500 BLK Shanti Drive -Theft – Police responded to this location following theft from a motor vehicle. A police report was placed on file and all parties involved were advised to keep their vehicles locked to help protect them self from further occurrence of the thefts.
23-012118 – 3500 BLK Claremont Avenue – Suspicious Activity – A suspicious person was observed in the front yard of the home. The individual was described as a person with a thin build, approximately five and a half feet tall, wearing a black hoodie and khaki pants. The gender and skin tone were unknown. Police searched the area, but the individual was not located. The residents of the home reported nothing missing and the exact motive of the suspicious person was undetermined.
No Assigned Case Number – 4300 BLK Worsham Avenue – Extra Patrol – Officers patrolled this residence in response to residents calling in prowling behavior. Nothing out of the ordinary was observed.
Day Shift September 23
No Number Assigned – Sweetbriar Ave @ Fountain Ave – A resident reported parties going door to door in the area and when they approached the residence, they were asked to identify themselves and they left the area. Police checked the area but were unable to locate the parties. They were possibly traveling in a silver/gray vehicle.
23-012127 – 1400 BLK Dover Ln – Theft – The victim reported two red push lawnmowers were stolen from his backyard sometime since 09/19/2023. There is no current suspect information currently.
23-012128 – 1500 BLK Cora Dr – Suspicious Activity – An anonymous caller reported parties were going door-to-door in the area and felt they were possibly attempting to scam residents. Police checked the area but did not locate the parties.
23-012135 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Pkwy – Assist EMS – Police assisted ERFD and HCEMS with three patients suffering from heat exposure while attending the Taco Festival. EMS and ERFD tended to the patients, and they were either transported via ambulance or personal conveyance.
Night Shift September 23
23-012142 – 300 BLK Dunlap Avenue – Harassment – Police responded to this location following a 911 call reporting a resident who was being harassed over social media. Police were able to obtain all necessary information to send this case to the Criminal Investigations Division. Initial incident report is on file.
23-012160 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police conducted a traffic stop on a white Ford Ranger for window tint violation. Police found drug paraphernalia on the driver after a consensual search was performed. Police searched the vehicle and found a total of 3.7 grams of suspected meth, 0.5 grams of suspected fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia. The suspect was placed into custody for possession of meth for resale, possession of fentanyl for resale, and possession of drug paraphernalia after he confessed to police that it was his. The party also had verified warrants out of East Ridge for possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Another occupant was given a misdemeanor citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.

23-012169 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Found Property – While investigating another call, officers discovered a handbag with a laptop and a planner strewn across S. Germantown Rd. Officers recovered all observed belongings and entered them into property. Officers were able to obtain the name, number, and address of the owner and requested a well-being check from another agency after several unsuccessful attempts at contacting the owner.
23-012162 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – Police responded to an audible alarm. Officers met with the night manager who reported an unknown individual ran out the side door and set off the store’s alarm. The manager stated that she was unclear if the individual stole anything from the store. The general manager will review the security camera footage later in the week to determine if anything was taken from the store.
23-012166 — 600 BLK Bluebird Circle – Suspicious Activity – Police responded to a suspicious person walking in the roadway. There they located a male. He had several minor injuries and struggled to answer basic questions presented by Police. An officer asked him if he had any weapons and he pointed to his right pocket. Police located a fixed blade knife and a glass pipe with burnt residue consistent with methamphetamine use. A pocketknife was also found in his back pocket. EMS responded to the scene and transported him to the hospital where he was admitted. The man was found to have an active warrant through Hamilton County for child support. Police will seek an arrest warrant for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
23-012168 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Unknown Trouble – Police responded to a 911 call. Officers spoke with several parties who reported seeing a white Ford F250, driven by an unknown male, pull into the parking lot. The driver got out of the vehicle, yelled at another male, then drove away. The vehicle and the individuals involved in the disorder were gone prior to arrival.
Day Shift September 24
23-012181 – 4000 South Terrace – Suspicious Person – Officers responded to reports of a female walking north in the roadway of Belvoir Avenue. Police located her in the 4000 block of South Terrace and provided her with a courtesy ride.
23-012138 – 730 Germantown Circle- Violation Order of Protection – The suspect was contacting the victim on Hamilton County Jail telephones. He had been arrested on 09/21/2023 on warrants issued on 09/16/2023 for multiple Domestic Assault charges in which the same party was the victim (re: 23-011838). He had signed an “Order Granting Bail for Abuse Cases” on 09/21/2023 @1312 hours. The man telephoned 15 times after signing the No Contact Order; warrants were sought for each violation of the order.
23-012173- 900 BLK Spring Creek Road- Doctor Shopping- Police responded in reference to a suspected doctor shopping incident. Two parties have visited several area hospitals and providers in a short period of time. The couple apparently takes turns complaining of bodily pain. As a result of the complaints the couple has been prescribed large quantities of hydrocodone, clonazepam, and oxycodone.
Night Shift September 24
23-012213 – 4000 BLK Cemetery Road – Traffic Stop – Following a traffic stop at this location, for driving in the opposite direction of travel, a party was taken into custody for multiple traffic violations.
23-012200 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Public Intox / Escape – Officers responded to 4214 Ringgold in reference to a disorder. On scene, officers located a woman who was near two open alcoholic beverage containers and appeared intoxicated. Officers determined the party to be intoxicated and fearing for her safety, officers took the party into custody. While in handcuffs and inside the holding cell at the Police Service Center, the party slipped her cuffs and was charged with Escape.
23-012215 – 7609 Standifer Gap Rd. – Warrant Service – Officers served a man with a Failure to Appear warrant for Driving on Revoked License.
23-012216 – 3400 BLK Bennett Road – Assault – The caller reported that his brother-in-law assaulted him. Police located the suspect at the residence. He and a witness stated that the reporting party entered the home without permission, created disorder, and pushed the resident. Based on the available information, Police determined that they engaged in mutual combat. The original complainant was criminally trespassed from the residence and was provided a ride away from the location.
23-012217 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Arrest – A man was observed jaywalking and causing a motorist to suddenly stop in the middle of Tombras Avenue to avoid hitting him. He then refused to stop for police who were attempting to speak with him. He was ultimately arrested for jaywalking, resisting stop halt frisk arrest, assault on police, retaliation for past action, and disorderly conduct.
Day Shift September 25
23-012228 – 1300 BLK ST Thomas ST – Theft- Police were dispatched to this address referencing a theft. The caller stated his roommate had stolen roughly $12,000 worth of collectible coins over the last 5 months.
23-012232 – 3600 BLK Ringgold RD –Arrest- Police were dispatched to this address regarding a disorder in the parking lot. Police contacted the suspect and identified him. Officers advised him that the business requested he leave the property, but he refused to leave and was arrested for Criminal Trespass.
23-012233 – 1300 BLK ST Thomas ST –Domestic Assault- Police were dispatched to this address referencing a Domestic Assault that took place after the theft report was taken. The caller stated that his roommate spit on him and attempted to strike him with a stick after a verbal argument regarding the theft. Police are investigating.
Night Shift September 25
23-012247 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Robbery of Business – Police responded regarding of report of a robbery. Upon arrival officers located the employees of the business in the freezer. The suspect was discovered to have left in an unknown black vehicle prior to police arrival. Officers were advised that the suspect entered the business through the drive-thru window while displaying a firearm. The on-call Detective was notified of the incident. Security camera footage was reviewed on scene. A BOLO was sent throughout Hamilton County and Georgia regarding the suspect vehicle. The incident is currently under investigation.
23-012241 – 100 BLK Fawn Drive – Miscellaneous – Police responded to a miscellaneous disturbance at a residence where the caller reported seeing a possible crime occur. Police interviewed all parties involved and determined no crime had occurred.
23-012244 – 900 BLK S Seminole Drive – Traffic Stop – Following a traffic stop at this location a party was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant out Hamilton County.
23-012249 – 5800 BLK Ringgold Road – Burglary in Progress – Police responded to this location regarding a male attempting to break into the church. Police searched the area and located a person of interest who stated he was not involved. Police spoke to the caller who advised she lives at the church and stated that he was in fact the person who attempted to break in. Police took the man into custody for Attempted Aggravated Burglary. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
