Day Shift September 19
23-011943- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road- Criminal Trespass- Police responded in reference to a man loitering on the property. He stated he was at the property due to a federal investigation he was working on. Police are familiar with the man and know him to be a mental health consumer. He was instructed to leave the property.
23-011960- 1400 BLK N Smith Street- Suspicious Activity- Police contacted two occupants in a black BMW behind the hotel who stated the owner allowed them to stay the night. The parties were identified, and officers asked the parties to leave at the request of hotel staff.
23-011953- 5600 BLK Ringgold RD- Delayed Theft- Management reported the theft of a pressure washer. He stated it was taken off the loading dock by an unknown male around 1446 hrs. on the 18th of September. CCTV footage showed the male arriving in what appeared to be a Silver Nissan Rogue, driven by what appears to be a heavy-set female. He stated the value of the pressure washer was approximately $550.
23-011725 – 1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive – Arrest Warrants Sought – Police identified a shoplifter who fled attempts to stop him last week. Warrants have been sought against the man for driving on revoked, failure to obey a traffic control device, unlawful registration removal, evading arrest, reckless driving, and theft charges.
Night Shift September 19
23-011964 – 1500 BLK Tombras Avenue – Property Damage – During the National Night Out, police were notified that a black Toyota Tundra had struck a stationary fire engine that was parked at the event. A property damage report was filed, and all parties involved were informed how to obtain a copy once completed.
23-011977 – 700 BLK Belvoir Avenue – Felony Evading – Police observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the 700 block of Belvoir Avenue. When the vehicle observed the police, the vehicle turned on Arnold Drive and accelerated at a high rate of speed to elude officers. The vehicle crashed at the dead end of the road and the driver fled on foot. Warrants pending identification of the male driver.
23-011982 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Vandalism – Officers responded to this address in reference to a burglar alarm. On scene, officers observed multiple windows busted out and the plywood used to block the windows removed as if someone had made entry. Officers were able to clear the business but were unable to locate any suspects.
No Case Number Assigned – 4300 BLK Worsham Ave – Extra Patrol – Officers patrolled this residence in response to residents calling in prowling behavior. Nothing out of the ordinary was observed.
23-011968- 1100 BLK South Seminole Drive- Public Intoxication – Police responded to a report of a Disorder in the 1200 block of South Seminole Drive. Enroute to the disorder, Police located a woman walking in the middle of the road in the 1100 block of South Seminole. Police determined that she was intoxicated and had contributed to the reported disorder. The woman was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without further incident.
23-011976 6000 BLK – Ringgold Road – Narcotics Violation – Police conducted a consensual encounter with a woman who was found sitting in a white Dodge Charger at a car lot after business hours. Police smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and gained consent to search the vehicle. Police located a small bag of suspected marijuana and a grinder in a bag in the driver’s seat. Police seized the marijuana and grinder, and the items were placed in the ERPD property room. She was checked for warrants and sent on her way.
23-011980 – 700 BLK South Germantown Road – Suspicious Activity – Police responded to a suspicious activity complaint in the 700 block of South Germantown Road. The reporting party stated that she heard someone moving around outside of her home. While speaking with the reporting party, Police heard several dogs barking in the yard of a nearby residence. Police checked the area but were unable to locate the suspicious individual.
23-011966 – 7300 BLK Haven Hill Lane – Fraud – The reporting party called and stated that she attempted to make a purchase through Amazon. A “Joseph Simmon” person stated that she had multiple accounts opened in her name and they were being used to launder money. The man stated to the victim that “if she didn’t want to get in trouble to send him money.” The victim was unfortunately swayed by the scam and stated that she gave “Simmon” a sum of money out of her savings account.
