Day Shift September 15
23-011755- 1400 BLK Saint Thomas Street- Burglary Attempt/Prowler- The caller stated a male party was messing with one of the windows of her residence. She stated she was upstairs with her young child, when she heard noises downstairs and originally thought it was her two cats. She observed the suspect through a window. Police set up a perimeter around the residence and a track was attempted by K-9 Quest to no avail. While police were in the area a witness stated they had seen a male wearing black t-shirt and blue jeans run towards the hotel. Their cameras were not operational. The suspect was not located.
23-011759- 5500 BLK Ringgold Road- Suspicious Person- The caller advised a homeless male was sleeping in the restroom. Police encountered the man who checked for warrants and sent on his way. He was advised not to return.
23-011760- 1400 BLK Wright Street- Delayed Burglary- Officers spoke with the victim who advised unknown suspect(s) entered the premise. He advised around 0830 hours on today’s date he observed the window in the northwest office was slightly open. Upon closer inspection he observed his 1992 Olympic Dream Team figurine set valued at $100 inside the office was missing. He also stated that an employee noticed that an Amazon box on the counter was opened, and the contents were gone. The contents included a Blink outdoor 3rd Generation wireless camera set valued at $250 along with Blink indoor camera valued at $70. Another unknown make and model set of cameras was stolen valued at $200. Police did not observe any damage to the window.
23-011762- 3600 BLK Ringgold Road- Shoplifting- Police spoke to loss prevention employee about a female that has been going through the self-checkout register and only scanning a few items but then placing other non-paid items in her bags. The cameras caught the female committing the theft. Parks went back to an earlier date 09/03/2023, the suspect was using her stored value card which was linked to her identification. The suspect was identified, and warrants are being sought for theft.
Night Shift September 15
23-011780 – 1500 BLK Tombras Avenue – Fight – Police were dispatched to a fight at the playground. Upon arrival the fight was over, and the children had dispersed. The complainant stated that several school aged children began fighting and stopped when she intervened by walking towards the group. Police spoke to the children that remained at the park after the park and reviewed the rules of the park. No further incidents.
23-011781 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Domestic Assault – Police were dispatched to a wellness check after the gas station attendant reported seeing an intoxicated male fighting his spouse in their car and then leaving the scene after the spouse and child escaped the vehicle. Police interviewed the victim and determined she had been assaulted. Police drafted warrants for domestic assault and false imprisonment against the suspect.
23-011786 – 10 BLK Belvoir Circle – Disorder – Police were dispatched to a disorder due to a landlord who was having trouble evicting her tenant. Police spoke to both parties and the man agreed to leave the residence without further incident.
23-011787 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Apartment Fire – Police assisted East Ridge FD in evacuating residents at this location due to an apartment fire. No one was injured, and all parties involved are safe. East Ridge Fire was able to remove the smoke from the apartment and conduct their investigation.
23-011803 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop – Arrest – Police conducted a traffic stop after observing a red Jeep laying drag on Ringgold Road at the Mack Smith Road intersection. Police contacted the driver who showed signs of being impaired. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail for Driving under the influence.
Day Shift September 16
23-011806- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road- Suspicious People- The caller advised of two homeless males urinating on the building at this location. On scene the males had already left the area.
23-011813- 5300 BLK Ringgold Road- Suspicious Person- The caller advised a homeless male was sleeping in the restroom and refusing to leave. Officer encountered the man was checked for warrants and advised to leave.
Night Shift September 16
23-011833 – 5500 BLK Ringgold Road – DUI Crash – Police were dispatched to a rear end collision between two sedans. Police arrested a party for DUI after observing signs of intoxication and open containers of alcohol inside his vehicle. The victim of the crash complained of head pain but refused medical treatment and was released at the scene. The suspect’s vehicle was towed.
23-011838 – 700 BLK Germantown Circle – Domestic Assault – Police responded to this location regarding a reported domestic assault. Upon arrival officers spoke with a woman who appeared to have injuries consistent with being assault. The suspect left the scene prior to police arrival in a small blue sedan occupied by three females. Warrants are currently being sought for aggravated domestic assault, false imprisonment, and viable fetus as victim.
23-011851 – 3657 Ringgold Road – Suspicious Vehicle/Narcotics Violation – While on patrol officers observed a vehicle parked on the rear of the business which had been flagged as a possible assault suspect vehicle from Walker County, GA. Officers contacted a man who was standing next to the vehicle. Upon further investigation the registered owner was identified as the possible suspect and discovered to have an outstanding warrant. Police contacted him along with two other parties in a room at the hotel. Inside the hotel room officers observed narcotics and paraphernalia in plain view. After obtaining a search warrant the narcotics and paraphernalia were seized by officers. CSU was notified and charges are pending for each subject.
Day Shift September 17
23-011857- 7609 Standifer Gap Road- Warrant Service- A party was served an East Ridge warrant at Hamilton County Jail.
23-011860-700 BLK South Lovell Avenue- Delayed Theft- The caller advised that she needed to report a trailer theft. She stated on 08/29/2023 on Brainerd Road she had issues with her motorcycle not starting. A male at the bar called a friend that lived on South Lovell Street to come assist her. The known man arrived and assisted her. The trailer was parked in his front yard, and between 8-29-2023 and 8-30-2023 the trailer was removed. It is unknown who took the trailer. The trailer was entered in NCIC.
Night Shift September 17
23-011875 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Road – Arrest-DUI – A man was arrested for DUI after a traffic stop at this location.
23-011877 – 3100 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop – Arrest – Police observed a red Chevy Camaro swerving all over the road. Police took the driver into custody for driving under the influence and driving without a valid license. The passenger was also taken into custody for Disorderly conduct and Public Intoxication. Both subjects were transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
23-011880 – 1000 BLK Justine Lane – Airway Obstruction – Officers responded to this location after the reporting party advised his nephew’s caretaker began choking on a peanut. Upon making entry into the residence with the East Ridge Fire Department the caretaker was found to have fallen asleep and was not choking.
Day Shift September 18
23-011899 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Drug Activity – Police responded to this location regarding a child abandoned call. The reporting party stated the mother had left her two children at the park and was doing drugs inside of a vehicle. Officers located her, along with another party, inside of a Honda Accord. Following an investigation, charges are pending for both parties and CPS was notified regarding the children. CSU was notified and responded.
Night Shift September 18
23-011915 – 1300 BLK Prater Road – Missing Person – Police spoke to the reporting party who stated that a party has been missing since Friday. They stated that he left on his bicycle approximately 1900 hours and did not say where he was going. They also stated that he usually travels with a backpack. They stated he did not have any friends or family close by. A BOLO was created.
23-011925 – 1500 BLK Burns Avenue – Assist Other Agency – Police observed a Nissan Maxima traveling east bound on Ringgold Road and found the vehicle matched a BOLO out of Chattanooga. Police developed probable cause for a traffic stop and stopped the vehicle. Police then verified the driver’s identity. The driver was taken into custody on a warrant and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without further incident.
23-011914 – 200 BLK Edwina Court – Shots Fired – The reporting party stated that he came home from work and found multiple bullet holes in his house. Police checked the area and observed bullet holes in multiple walls and an interior door of the home. Police spoke with several neighbors, but no one observed shots being fired at the home. Police were unable to determine a motive or identify a suspect. On-call CID was notified and responded to the scene.
23-011932 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / DUI – Following a traffic stop at this location, a man was taken into custody for DUI.
