Day Shift September 13
23-011671 – 3200 BLK Blackhawk Trail – Child Locked in Car – ERPD responded to a child inadvertently locked in a vehicle. The child was not in distress and was reunited with mother in short order.
23-011668 – 3600 BLK Missionaire Avenue – Suspicious Person – ERPD responded to a report of a suspicious person who turned out to be a contractor delivering topsoil.
23-011660 – 6500 BLK Ringgold RD – ARREST – Police were patrolling this location and observed a silver Dodge Durango that was registered to a party with active warrants. Officers contacted the man and his friend. He was arrested for his outstanding warrant of Theft of Property Over $2500 (Auto Theft), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of schedule II. His companion was arrested for possession of schedule II and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Night Shift September 13
23-011696 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – DUI-Pursuit-Assault – Police observed a driver passed out behind the wheel in the parking lot of Camp Jordan. Upon startling him awake he would not obey commands and attempted to flee from the stop. A short pursuit ensued, and the offender was taken into custody. He then assaulted a doctor by biting him on the hand. He was charged accordingly.
23-011681 – 3600 BLK Altamira Drive – Suspicious Vehicle – Officers responded to this location regarding a white Dodge Caravan occupied by five people driving throughout the neighborhood and placing things in mailboxes. On scene, officers could not locate the van or its occupants.
23-011683 – 3600 BLK Phelps Street – Assist Other Agency – Officers responded to this address following an animal bite. Officers were advised that the attack occurred on Laredo Ave. Officers were able to identify, based on the description provided by the RP, the house from where the dog came. East Ridge Animal Services issued the owner several citations regarding animal security.
23-011691 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road – Burglary in Progress – Officers responded to this location after receiving a call from the manager about a male being in the business and attempting to open the cash drawers. Officers discovered a male in the business, and he was promptly taken into custody without further incident.
23-011692 – 4200 BLK Bennett Road – Disorder-Weapon – The victim reported that a known party had brandished a knife at him and was threating to “cut him up.” Police spoke to the suspect who stated that the reporting party was angry and yelling at his wife and he asked him to stop. Witnesses at the residence also corroborated his side of the story. Parties separated for the evening.
23-011695 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – DUI – Officers performed a traffic stop on a vehicle that was failing to maintain lanes. On contact, officers believed the driver to be under the influence of alcohol. Officers also observed a spilled alcohol container in the right floorboard. Officers conducted Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and promptly took the driver into custody for suspicion of DUI.
