September 05– Day Shift
3629 Shirl Jo Lane (Theft):
The resident reported the theft of his gray Smith &Wesson 659 9mm from his house sometime between March and now. Sanchez has no suspect information. The firearm was entered into NCIC.
4321 Ringgold Road Suite 113 (vandalism):
Police responded to this location after an employee from a neighboring business discovered the front door had been shattered. CID responded. No suspect information is available at this time.
4214 Ringgold Road (deceptive practice):
A woman responded to the police department after receiving a phone call from a person claiming to be with Apple security requesting a $500 gift card to correct the problems with her compromised computer. She was advised not to send the money, because it was a scam.
1417 Macksmith Road (DOA):
Police responded to this location after a person was found deceased. The death is believed to be natural.

September 05 – Night Shift
6401 Ringgold Road/Public Intox/Poss drug para:
Sidney Merritt was arrested for public intox and drug paraphernalia after police observed him unable to maintain his balance at McDonalds. Mr. Merritt was in possession of a used syringe.
6521 Ringgold Road/Alarm:
Police responded to Wally’s twice after hearing the audible alarm.
201 Eads St/Assit other:
Police assisted Lt. Lackey with removing a party from the property who was not a resident.
3725 Fountain Ave, #69 (Domestic):
Bobby Frank Morris, Jr was arrested for domestic assault against his daughter. The daughter states during a verbal argument with her father, grabbed a tray off the baby’s highchair and started hitting her in the back of the head. Conditions were served.
3218 Gleason Dr. (Disorder):
Reporting party called in wanting police to come and talk to his neighbor who has been continuously harassing him. Police arrived on scene and instructed both parties to stay away from each other. Both parties agreed.
4401 Ringgold Rd (Fraud):
on August 27, 2019 Brea Williams presented and cashed a fake payroll check for $1,272.93.

September 06 – Day Shift
302 Dunlap Avenue (Seminole Path Apartments):
Suspicious Activity/Stolen Vehicle Recovery- Upon arrival the suspicious male described by dispatch was not located but officers did observe a suspicious blue Honda Accord that had been spray painted black. The vehicle was located near the walkway for apartments 11-20 on the south side of the complex. A check of the VIN confirmed the vehicle was stolen out of Chattanooga on July 16th. Upon inspection of the vehicle police observed two spent shell casings in the hood area. CID was contacted and responded. It was found the vehicle was suspect in an aggravated assault call on August 5th in Chattanooga. CID contacted Chattanooga detectives who responded and took possession of the vehicle for further investigation. The vehicle was removed from NCIC prior to being released to Chattanooga officers.
1417 Saint Thomas Street (Motel 6):
Suspicious Activity/Drug Arrest- While on patrol police observed a tan Hyundai pulling into the parking lot of the Motel 6. The driver of the vehicle was found to have a suspended driver’s license confirmed through dispatch. Police responded to room 221 and contacted a male party identified as David Cosby. Cosby stated his female companion, Tracy Warfield was in the restroom showering. While speaking with Cosby he stated he was on probation and admitted to having a digital scale in the room. Cosby invited officers in to retrieve the scale. While retrieving the scale an officer noticed a bag containing 14 grams of methamphetamine in a cigarette box. Officers detained both parties. Officers located a total of 16 grams of Methamphetamine, .2 grams of suspected cocaine, 13 grams of marijuana, a glass pipe, plastic bags and digital scales. Both parties denied knowledge of the narcotics. Officers also located $335 in US Currency. Cosby at first stated the cash was not his and then contradicted that statement later saying it was. Both parties were taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail. Both were charged with Possession of Schedule I, Schedule II, and drug paraphernalia. Cosby was additionally charged with Possession of Schedule VI.
6674 Ringgold Road (Rodeway Inn):
Jada Lankford was encountered and found to have Hamilton County warrants. She was transported to 601.
1523 Springvale Road:
Suspicious Person- The caller advised of a white male walking between houses. Upon police arrival no one was located.
5306 Clemons Road:
AOA- Animal Control requested police respond with then to this address regarding a dog running at large. Upon arrival it was found the dog in question was in its back yard.
1505 Tombras Avenue (Pioneer Park):
Possible Fight- The caller advised of several middle school children attempting to fight at the park. Upon arrival in the area officers observed approximately 20 to 25 children on the sidewalk in the 1500 blk of Tombras fighting. When officers approached the children, they all ran in different directions. Police were able to locate a few of them and gather information regarding the fight. The names will be forwarded to school officials.
4222 Ringgold Road (Speedway):
Theft- Police were called to the business once again regarding school children stealing candy. They were able to provide video of a female juvenile taking items and putting them into her purse. The child was located a while later and her parents were called.
808 Poindexter Avenue:
Alarm- Police were dispatched to this address on an alarm. Upon arrival the residence was secure.
181 Cecil Lane:
Burglary- Upon arrival police spoke to the victim. They advised someone entered the residence through the kitchen window at the rear of the building. There are no suspects.
4320 Bennett Road (East Ridge High School):
Weapon Call- Upon arrival police made contact with the Assistant Principal, Sharon Morgan, and were advised that two students in two separate instances approached some of the staff and advised them that they overheard another student mention that he was wanting to harm another student. Officers and school staff then checked the student’s locker and then contacted the subject in room #109, where they spoke with him about his comments. According to the student, he claimed that he was upset that some other parties had made derogatory statements about his female cousin and he was concerned about her reputation. The subject claimed that he meant no harm by the comments and was only venting his frustrations out loud. Police and school staff advised the subject of the repercussions of making such statements and he claimed that he understood and admitted to his error. The subject was checked for weapons and allowed to return to class.

September 06– Night Shift
4404 Vester Lane/ Disorder:
Police were dispatched to this address regarding a fight. A female juvenile was arrested for two counts of domestic assault for punching her boyfriend in the face and assaulting her mother when she attempted to break up the fight.
Kimberly Apartments #4 / Burglary In Progress:
Police responded to this location after a passerby observed a male party trying to gain access by using a window. Police made contact with the occupant of the apartment who advised she had given the male party permission to enter the residence but he had no key.
1900 Close Rd. / Narcotics:
Paula Beard was taken into custody for possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as criminal impersonation following a traffic stop at this location.
3610 Altamira Drive/Attempted Vehicle Burglary:
A juvenile male of said address saw a white male with medium length hair wearing a black and white bandana on his face, black tight fit hoodie, black loose fit pants, 5’10” to 6’ medium build, try to get into a gold 2014 Chrysler Town and Country bearing FL registration 094RUW parked in the driveway. Juvenile male saw suspect trying to gain entry into the van with a slim jim.

September 07 – Day Shift
1900 McBrien Rd:
Disorder – A woman and Steven Hodge (w/m) were reportedly in a verbal disorder at this location. On police arrival, Steven Hodge fled on a bicycle, due to having outstanding warrants. The woman was checked for warrants and released.
5540 Clemons Rd:
Warrant Service – Steven Hodge was taken into custody at this location for outstanding East Ridge warrants, a short time after fleeing from a disorder with a woman on McBrien Rd.
6600 Ringgold Rd:
Warrant Service – Gregory Bernard Taylor (B/M) was arrested on East Ridge Warrant ER129127 for alias/capias for driving on revoked following a traffic stop at this location.
4100 Ringgold Rd:
Traffic Stop/Assist Other – William Lee (W/M) (DOB 10/02/76) was detained and transported to the jail for outstanding warrants out of Hamilton County following a traffic stop at this location. He was also issued several traffic citations.

September 07 – Night Shift
1509 Karwill Lane Apt C/ Domestic Disorder:
Officers spoke with a man who stated that he and his wife argued over his wife wanting him to leave. He stated that he then took her car keys from her to prevent her from leaving since she was too intoxicated to drive. The argument turned into a physical altercation to where Tracy McCormick, wife of victim, grabbed a knife and held it to his chest. The victim further stated that he pushed her away from him by placing his hands on her shoulders and shoving. Mrs. McCormick cut a hole in the victim’s shirt as well as scratched the surface of his skin with the knife when she was pushed. All evidence pointed to Mrs. McCormick being the primary aggressor with the knife. She was taken into custody at 23:58 and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
1015 S. Seminole / DUI:
Nicholas Chandler was arrested for DUI following an incident which started at this location and ended at 132 Margareta Lane.
3904 Ringgold Rd / Warrant Service:
Melissa Martinez was taken into custody for Catoosa County warrants following a consensual encounter at this location.
5 Belvoir Cir / Assist Fire:
Police stood by while Fire forced entry into this residence to assist a citizen.
1608 S Smith Street / Suspicious Vehicle:
Police got out with a suspicious vehicle sitting in the street with its parking lights on. There was a male and a female juvenile in the back seat of the vehicle. The female juvenile gave police a fake name while officers were gathering information. The female juvenile was taken into custody for Criminal Impersonation. The male juvenile’s parents were contacted, and he was sent on his way. The female juvenile was transported to JDU.

September 08 – Day Shift
814 Belvoir Hills Cir:
Vandalism – The resident reported that an unknown suspect stabbed a hole in the front tire of two of her vehicles, while they were parked at her daughter’s house during the evening. No suspect information at this time.
4400 Bennett Rd:
Found Property – A concerned citizen reported a bicycle lying in the grass in front of the East Ridge Middle School, while he was passing by. Upon inspection of the item, it was believed to have been abandoned, as it was rusted and several non-functioning parts. The bicycle was taken to the PD to be placed into property.
3222 Gleason Dr:
Alarm – Ridgeview Pointe Apartments – Police responded to office at this location for left patio door activation. Upon arrival, everything appeared to be secure.
4226 Bennett Rd:
Unwanted Party – Officers responded to this location after the homeowner called to report that her daughter’s live in boyfriend, Michael Christopher McDaniel, was acting erratic and in possession of a firearm while being a felon. After receiving consent from the homeowners, police entered the residence and made contact with McDaniel as he was sitting in the floor next to a bed in a rear bedroom. As officers contacted McDaniel, he was found to be sitting on a .25 caliber semi-auto handgun. After being advised of his rights, McDaniel admitted to being a felon, as well as, discharging the firearm in the backyard of the residence on the previous night. McDaniel’s girlfriend gave police consent to search the room they share for any further contraband, which McDaniel also showed to police. McDaniel was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of schedule VI, possession of schedule II, possession of drug paraphernalia, and discharging a firearm within the city limits. McDaniel was also found to have a valid warrant through HCSO.
3801 Altamira Dr:
Theft from Vehicle – The resident reported the decal from her license plate stolen. The complainant did not have any suspect information and did not know when it may have occurred.
Greenslake Rd @ Stateline Rd:
Accident w/ Possible Entrapment/Injuries – A gray Ford Mustang traveling westbound on Stateline Rd failed to stop at a stop sign at Greenlake Rd and struck a northbound Toyota Prius on Greenslake Rd. The impact forced the Prius across the street and landing on its top in the yard of a residence on Greenslake Rd at Stateline Rd. The Prius driver was transported by EMS.

September 08 – Night Shift
703 S. Lovell Ave. / Domestic Disorder:
Officers responded to a domestic disorder between Brooklinn Poss and a man. They fought over content found on her cell phone. She was intoxicated and whipped the victim across his left bicep with a power chord leaving a whelp and bruising. Her arms were bruised consistent with him grabbing her arms to prevent her from hitting him more. Evidence pointed to her as the primary aggressor and she was taken into custody at 00:30.
5301 Ringgold Road / Disorder:
Katie Spencer and William Birkhead were criminally trespassed from this location after creating a disorder with the clerk over the price of an item.
3133 Bimini Place apt 135 / Theft from a Vehicle:
The resident reported that the tag on her 2000 Honda Accord (766CPN) was stolen between 1930 hours on September 7, 2019 and 0700 hours on September 8, 2019. The tag was entered into NCIC.
4338 Ringgold Road / Warrant Arrest:
Thomas Williams was taken into custody on a Hamilton County warrant following a traffic stop.
1408 N Smith Street / Shots Fired:
Police were called to the area of the address twice regarding shots fired. The caller advised both times that he heard 2 shots. Police searched the area, but did not locate anything.
Ringgold Road @ McBrien Road/Crash-Property Damage:
A 2008 Toyota Scion TC turned into the path of an east bound 2017 Merc Benz Class 250.
4400 Bennett Road/Crash-Property Damage:
An unknown vehicle pulled out from beside East Ridge Middle School turning east bound and hit the left quarter panel of a west bound 2015 Kia Soul.
8935 Lee HWY / Warrant Service:
Police met a Bradley County Deputy at this location after he had taken John King into custody for an East Ridge warrant.
817 Belvoir Ave. / Alarm:
Police responded to a residential alarm at this location and found everything to be secure at time of check.
4200 Ringgold Rd. / Narcotics:
Police recovered a glass pipe and approx. 3 grams of marijuana from a 17 year old juvenile following a traffic stop at this location. No charges pending for the narcotics. Both the narcotics and paraphernalia were placed into property and evidence for proper disposal.
