Day Shift September 25
24-012308 – 3700 BLK Anderson Avenue – Burglary / Narcotics Arrest – The resident stated she went to her vehicle this morning and much to her horror, she found her vehicle had been ransacked and a person she did not know asleep in the passenger seat. The man was awakened, removed from the vehicle and immediately handcuffed. She stated she is unsure if any items were taken, and an inventory is pending. The suspect appeared to be high on an intoxicant as he was very unsteady on his feet. Upon a search of his “fanny pack” a glass pipe was located. He also had a small lockbox in his pocket. The keys were located and approximately two grams of a white powder was located. When asked what he had smoked, he stated “fent” which is assumed to mean Fentanyl. After an inventory of her vehicle, a loaded firearm was found. NCIC shows the firearm as stolen on 09/23 from a victim in Chattanooga (re: CPD 24-089013). The firearm, a Smith and Wesson SD9VE, was loaded with 13 bullets and was chambered. The suspect had been found in possession of the gun owner’s DL and SSN card. The suspect was also a convicted felon from Hamilton County Criminal Court for 2 Class E Felonies in 2017. ERPD is working to establish connections to other thefts in our jurisdiction as well as Chattanooga.
24-012310 – 3600 BLK Wimberly Lane – Theft from Vehicle – The victim told police someone entered his unlocked car overnight. An unknown suspect stole work tools and an epi-pen. No damage to the vehicle was reported.
24-012314 – 800 BLK Belvoir Hills Drive – Theft from Vehicle – The resident told police someone entered his unlocked truck overnight. He said a credit card may have been taken and he is speaking with bank to address the stolen card. No damage to the vehicle was reported. He did not want to make a report but requested extra patrols in the area.
24-012334 – 3500 BLK Cherokee Avenue – Miscellaneous Complaint – A complainant questioned police on the legality of her neighbor driving his young children around on a golf cart, unbuckled. Officers informed her that golf carts are not street legal, and the issue would be addressed should an officer observe the offense occur in his/her presence.
24-012336 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A woman was served an East Ridge warrant at the Hamilton County Jail for Driving on Revoked.
24-012319 – 1200 BLK Spring Creek Road – Assist Codes – Police accompanied Codes Enforcement to this location while they advised the homeowner and a party, who was occupying a storage shed in the backyard, that the party would have to vacate the structure by 1630 hours this date. The party advised he understood. Officers later returned after the homeowner requested police advise the former occupant of the shed to not return after leaving with his belongings. The subject said he understood.
24-012317 – 1000 BLK Lansdell Road – Suspicious Activity – Residents in the area reported parties rummaging through a dumpster at a residence and then leaving behind the remnants of their pilfering. The caller requested more patrol in the area especially in the evening hours.
24-012321 – 700 BLK Flynn Drive – Assist Codes Enforcement – Officer responded to this location with Codes Enforcement after they received reports that the former tenants may possibly still be residing in the condemned residence. Officers located some unsecured plywood covers on a rear door and due to previous issues with the occupants, police made entry into the residence and found it to be unoccupied. Codes Enforcement then had the property re-secured.
24-012320 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Suspicious Person – The personnel at medical office reported a slim build male was coming inside the building and disturbing patients. Employees presented pictures of the subject to police, who identified. At the request of the employees, police attempted to locate him and issue a criminal trespass. He was not located during the shift.
Night Shift September 24
24-012353- 600 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway- Aggravated Assault – A woman reported a man put a knife to her throat following dinner at a local restaurant. The victim stated she was in the process of hiring the man for a position at her business. The man reportedly threatened to harm her if he did not get the job. Warrants are currently pending for aggravated assault.
24-012347 – 1100 BLK Chippewah Drive – Suspicious Person / Arrest – Police conducted a welfare check with a person sleeping in a vehicle in the roadway. Police located a man in the car and found he was intoxicated. He also created a disturbance while speaking with police. The subject was taken into custody and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Public Intoxication.
24-012352 – 800 BLK S Germantown Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Following a traffic stop, a man was taken into custody for Driving While License Revoked for DUI. He was transported to the Hamilton County Detention Center without incident.
24-012349 – I-75 SB – Motor Vehicle Accident / Arrest – Police responded to a hit and run crash but found it occurred in Chattanooga. Upon returning to East Ridge, police located the suspect vehicle that fled the scene. The driver was found, and police quickly determined he was under the influence of alcoholic beverage. He was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Driving Without a License, and Financial Responsibility.
24-012360 – 900 BLK S. Seminole Dr – Domestic Assault / Arrest – Police responded to a domestic assault complaint between two men. After an on-scene investigation, police determined the primary aggressor, and he was arrested for Domestic Assault.
24-012361 – 3600 BLK Helen Lane – Suspicious Activity – Police were called to check the neighborhood after two unknown males, dressed in black, were seen in the area. Police did not observe anyone matching the description.
24-012357 – 5700 BLK Ringgold Rd – Suspicious Activity – Police located a man and woman on Ringgold Road following a BOLO message from Dispatch. The woman’s mother was concerned about her daughter’s welfare after she left her home with the male party. Police checked on each person, then assisted the couple in travelling back to their respective residences.
