Day Shift September 13
24-011729 – 3500 BLK Ringgold Road, Ace Hardware – Alarm-Burglary – Police were dispatched for a left storage motion alarm. The business checked secured.
24-011733 – 5700 BLK Roper Street– Theft-Auto – The caller reported his white 1999 GMC Sonoma stolen from the property of the apartments. The vehicle was entered into NCIC.
24-011739 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Vehicle – The reporting party was concerned of a white Chrysler minivan that was sitting across the street from his business in the parking lot of the apartments. Police contacted the driver; he was found to live in the apartment complex.
24-011749 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road– Theft-From Building – A female took $160 and a black dress from the business and pushed down the clerk/owner while exiting the building. The suspect ran to a nearby business and departed in a green sedan.
24-011750 – 5300 BLK Mathews Drive – Burglary-Auto – Between 2300 hours on September 13, 2024, and 1600 hours, September 13, person(s) unknown entered a vehicle and stole a passport.
Night Shift September 13
24-011761 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Vehicle – Police responded to a suspicious vehicle with sovereign citizen insignia displayed on a brown 1978 Ford Chateau van parked in the 3700 block of Ringgold Road. Police encountered the owner on foot leaving the campaign office. The owner refused to provide his name but consented to a search of his vehicle and his belongings. The owner later provided his name. He adamantly stated that he was not a sovereign citizen and that he supported the police. Officers advised him not to drive his vehicle without displaying proper registration.
24-011770-3900 BLK Ringgold Road-Traffic Stop/Arrest – Police observed a blue Toyota Tacoma turn westbound onto Ringgold Road from John Ross Road and strike the curb. Following a traffic stop, a man was arrested for driving under the influence, underage consumption, driving without a license, and failure to maintain a lane.
24-011771 – 6300 BLK Ringgold Road – Burglary in Progress – Police arrested a man for possession of 1.4 ounces of suspected marijuana after his description matched that of a suspect observed to be attempting to steal from the nearby carwash money machine. He was trespassed from the carwash.
24-011772 – 3200 BLK Ringgold Road – Reckless Driver Arrest – Police were conducting traffic enforcement when a vehicle passed units at a high rate of speed. The vehicle continued traveling west, reaching speeds exceeding 74 miles per hour with the unit’s emergency equipment active until reaching S Seminole and Ringgold. The driver was later identified and charged with Reckless Driving.
24-011777-6700 BLK Ringgold Rd.-Traffic Stop/Arrest – A woman was stopped for driving with no headlights. After a records check was conducted, she was found to have an active arrest warrant out of Sessions Court for Criminal Impersonation.
24-011781 – 3200 BLK Ringgold Road – Shots Fired – Police responded to shots fired after a report of three gunshots heard near the Bachman Tunnels. The reporting party advised that he had observed a dark-colored BMW SUV turning from Old Ringgold Road and going west through the Bachman Tunnel after the three shots had been heard. Police located two 9mm shell casings at Poindexter Avenue and Old Ringgold Road. No property damage was observed. No victims were reported.
24-011785 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person – Police responded after a man made lewd statements to female employees and refused management’s request to leave. The overnight team lead requested he be trespassed from the property. The suspect was advised of the trespass, and he would be arrested if he returned to the property. He stated he understood.
Day Shift September 14
24-011790 – Frawley Street & S Germantown Rd – Traffic Stop – Officers pulled a vehicle over for failure to maintain lane. The driver was arrested for driving while revoked (DUI).
24-011794 – 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road – Warrant Service – Police responded to the listed location for a warrant service. The subject was taken into custody on several sessions court warrants and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
24-011796– 1600 BLK Key West Avenue – Auto Burglary -A vehicle had its back right window smashed in, and two orange Husqvarna chainsaws were stolen.
24-011797 – 1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive, Bass Pro Shop – Theft-Shoplifting – Asset Protection employee informed police of two couples who were observed concealing an unknown amount of ammunition. At this time, the four suspects have not been identified.
24-011799 – 3700 BLK Olmstead Drive – Delayed Assault – Police responded to the listed address on a report of a delayed assault. A woman reported that her tenant had pushed her down and spit on her after a verbal altercation inside an apartment. Police spoke with the suspect on scene, and she admitted to spitting on the victim while she was on the ground but denied pushing her down. The suspect was taken into custody for Assault and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
Night Shift September 14
24-011814 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Arrest – Police received an anonymous tip that a Toyota truck parked in the parking lot contained narcotics. Officers located a Toyota Tacoma matching the description. Police conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle after observing drug paraphernalia in plain view. During the search, officers located additional paraphernalia. The driver was found to have an active warrant out of Sessions Court. During a search incident to arrest, her purse contained multiple narcotics. She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of Gabapentin for resale, possession of Xanax for resale, possession of Oxycodone for resale, possession of Fentanyl for resale, and possession of Methamphetamine for resale.
24-011817 – 6100 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Arrest – A man was arrested for Driving on Revoked for DUI after he Failed to Yield to Emergency Traffic displayed on the shoulder of the 6300 block of Ringgold Road. He was transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
24-011824 & 24-011825 – 500 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Criminal Trespass/Arrest – Police were dispatched for a disorder between management and a customer. On the scene, a woman was seen arguing with management and criminally trespassed from the location. Later in the shift, she returned to the property to harass customers and was arrested for Criminal Trespassing and Public Intoxication.
24-011826 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Arrest – While conducting a consensual encounter, police discovered narcotics paraphernalia inside an occupied vehicle parked at the gas station. Officers performed a probable cause search of both occupants inside the vehicle and discovered additional paraphernalia and narcotics. A man was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and two counts of Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia.
24-011828 – 1300 BLK Spring Creek Rd – Traffic stop/ Arrest – Police observed a vehicle with no lights on swerving in the roadway. Officers conducted a traffic stop but the car tried to stop in the middle of the road. The driver then proceeded to Spring Creek Rd when they finally halted. The driver was arrested for DUI, Failure to maintain lane, Light law, and Driving without a License.
Day Shift September 15
No Case Number – 2000 BLK Tombras Avenue – Fire Call – A citizen approached police to advise of someone burning in a yard, smoking up the neighborhood. Fire responded and had the individual put it out.
24-011842 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Suspicious Vehicle – A caller reported a Mustang doing donuts in the parking lot. Police arrived to find 300 to 400 vehicles conducting an impromptu parade. Police made the people leave the park.
Night Shift September 15
24-011844 – 400 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Public Intoxication-Arrest – A man was arrested for Public Intoxication after causing alarm to Emergency Room staff and security. He showed signs and symptoms of intoxication and resisted answering questions surrounding his unusual behavior. Police determined he was a danger to himself and others and a public nuisance. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-011852- 1200 BLK John Ross Road- Well-being Check/ Warrant Service – Police responded to the area to check the well-being of an elderly female walking North along John Ross Rd. Officers met her and found she had an outstanding arrest warrant out of General Sessions Court. Police transported her to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-011860-3600 BLK Ringgold Rd-Fight-Arrest – Police responded to this address about a fight in the parking lot. Upon arrival police found two parties that were involved in a domestic disturbance. After a records check, a woman was found to have an outstanding East Ridge Warrant. A search incident to arrest showed she was in possession of meth for resale and drug paraphernalia. The woman was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
24-011862 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Field Interview 24-000171 / Other Warrant Service – Police conducted a traffic stop on a bicyclist riding on Ringgold Road with no light after dark. During his field interview police discovered that he had active warrants in Red Bank and Hamilton County. The man was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-011864 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Field Interview 24-000172
Police saw a person sleeping in their car behind the motel. During his field interview police discovered that he was entered into NCIC as a missing person from Long Beach, California on January 1, 2024. It was found that the reporting party was a family member with dementia. He was removed as missing from NCIC.
24-011865 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person
While conducting routine patrol police saw a male who was shadow boxing in the parking lot at 4:00 in the morning. Police asked if everything was okay, and he said that he regularly trains in the morning hours. The party was homeless and referred to himself as “Junior”. Junior declined to cooperate for a field interview.
Day Shift September 16
24-011889 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Fugitive Warrant – A woman was arrested on a Fugitive Warrant out of Catoosa County.
24-011882 – 3400 BLK Bennet Road – Burglary Attempt – Police responded to a delayed burglary attempt. The reporting party’s security camera captured an unknown male drive into her neighbor’s driveway and exit his silver SUV. The man attempted to open the downstairs door. No signs of tool marks or damage were observed.
24-011877 – 3600 BLK Craig Road – Warrant Service – Police executed an arrest warrant on a man for Retaliation for Past Actions and Underage Consumption. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
Night Shift September 16
24-011911- 600 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Theft of Automobile / Arrest – Following an LPR hit, police located a stolen U-Haul van in a parking lot. The vehicle was confirmed stolen out of Indianapolis, Indiana. A felony stop was conducted. The driver was taken into custody and charged with Theft of Property over $10,000 and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
24-011912 – 4300 Block of Bennett Road – DUI Arrest – Police observed a vehicle failing to maintain lane and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, officers found that a man was driving while intoxicated (alcohol). He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-011910- 500 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Disorder – Police responded for an unruly customer. Officers found a man was in a verbal argument with management due to the refusal to serve him alcohol. With the police present, he coordinated a ride home and agreed to leave the business.
24-011897 – 400 BLK S Howell Street – Hit And Run / Arrest – Police responded to the report of a vehicle crashing into a house. The vehicle fled prior to police arrival, but they were able to identify the automobile based on debris from a taillight. Officers located the suspect vehicle and determined who the driver was The driver was taken into custody and charged with Reckless Endangerment and Leaving the Scene of an Accident – Property Damage.
24-009646 – 4214 Ringgold Rd – Warrant Service – While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a party was served with an East Ridge arrest warrant for Alteration of Certificate of Title.
Day Shift September 17
24-011927 – 6300 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop – Police conducted a felony stop on a black Dodge Journey after dispatch confirmed the vehicle was stolen. Upon further investigation, police discovered the VIN on the Journey did not match the VIN on the stolen vehicle hit. Dispatch then found a vehicle out of Texas with the TX tag was stolen but clarified the Journey was not stolen. The driver was sent on her way with an explanation and an apology.
24-011917 -6500 BLK US41- Criminal Trespass Arrest – Store employees stated a female was going back and forth between the parking and the women’s bathroom. Store employees ultimately had to force the door open and found her undressing. Police encountered the woman in the parking lot inside of her vehicle. She initially refused to answer questions, rather merely gestured. The woman was informed store employees wanted her Criminally Trespassed from the premises; she stated she was not leaving until later. She was again told she needed to leave the premises now or go to jail for Criminal Trespassing. The woman again refused and held out her arms which was interpreted as “take me to jail”. She was taken to jail.
24-011918- 6700 BLK Ringgold Rd—Drug Overdose/Arrest – Police responded to a check well-being on an unconscious party. After being cleared by medical staff, the man was arrested for disorderly conduct while being combative with paramedics, public intoxication, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
24-011924 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road– Check the Well-being – Police responded to the hotel after a concerned party called to report they heard a child screaming “Help me,” then sounds of the screams being muffled. Police contacted the occupants of room and all children appeared to be in good spirits and no signs of distress. Officers and motel staff checked several other rooms and did not locate any parties in distress.
Night Shift September 17
24-011942 – 500 BLK S Moore Road – Public Intoxication / Arrest – Police responded to the complaint of a suspicious male on an electric wheelchair. Police located the subject and determined he was heavily intoxicated. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail. The electric wheelchair was recovered by a tow truck.
24-011948– 100 BLK Ridgeside Road – Suspicious Activity – Police responded to the report of shots fired near the City of Ridgeside. Police checked the area and found there were multiple reports of shots fired in the Brainerd area. CPD units eventually located several spent 7.62×39 shell casings in their jurisdiction. ERPD units conducted an additional patrol in the City of Ridgeside in response to the incident.
24-011959 – 4800 BLK Mayfair Ave – Assist Other Agency – ERPD units responded to the Brainerd area to assist the Chattanooga Police Department. CPD officers located a stolen vehicle and observed it hitting a utility pole. Three suspects fled the vehicle on foot. CPD located and arrested the driver of the vehicle. ERPD officers located one of the passengers behind a residence and detained him after a brief foot pursuit. CPD also recovered a stolen firearm during the incident.
24-011956 – 5400 BLK Ringgold Road — Traffic Stop / Medical Complaint – Police conducted a stop with two adult males riding electric scooters on Ringgold Road with no lights. Police spoke with the individuals and observed that one male was nonverbal and unresponsive to questioning. Police placed the male into protective custody and transported him to the hospital. The hospital staff contacted the individual’s father and determined he was a mental health consumer, prone to psychotic episodes.
24-011946 – 3800 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Vehicle – Police responded to a suspicious vehicle behind an empty business. An unoccupied Toyota Camry was located and found to be not reported stolen. The owner of the vehicle could not be located, and the vehicle was parked on private property.
