Day Shift October 8
24-012921 – 4214 Ringgold Rd – Found Property – A male came to the police department and dropped a wallet off that he found. It is unknown where the wallet was found due to the male leaving after dropping it off.
24-012930 – 500 BLK South Seminole Dr – Traffic Stop – Officers observed a white KIA Sportage traveling northbound in the 500 block of S Seminole Drive. Upon checking the registration, the vehicle showed as stolen out of Chattanooga. ERPD Officers followed the vehicle until additional officers responded at which time a felony stop was conducted on the vehicle in the 3300 block of Brainerd Road. Dispatch advised the vehicle was confirmed to be stolen out of Chattanooga. However, the driver was observed to be the co-owner to the vehicle. Upon Chattanooga Police arriving to the scene the incident was determined to be a civil matter. The driver and a female passenger were released from the scene without incident. The vehicle was subsequently removed from NCIC as stolen.
24-012929- 1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive- Shoplifting – On 10/08 at approximately 1311 hours, police responded in reference to a theft in progress. Police were informed a male subject, wearing a blue Auburn sweatshirt and a white hat, was observed by a Asset Protection Employee concealing approximately three knives in his right front pocket. Police detained the subject in the parking area prior to him leaving his vehicle. In the passenger side of the vehicle there was a female party who was the listed owner of the vehicle. Police retrieved the knives out of his right front pants pocket. Officers also observed, via close caption television, the man manipulating the package of one of the knives to extract and conceal it. Hamilton County Dispatch advised he had a possible failure to appear with an original charge of burglary out of Alabama. NCIC confirmed the warrant and stated Dekalb County Alabama wish to place a hold and would extradite. Due to this, the party was taken into custody on theft of property and the outstanding warrant. Police also were notified that the party was related to an ongoing BOLO for a theft that Detective Wade was working on. Both were Criminally Trespassed from the the address.
Night Shift October 8
24-012915 – 5301 Ringgold Road – Suspicious Vehicle/Arrest – Officers observed a male who appeared asleep in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. The driver was identified and found to have two warrants out of sessions. After being placed in custody and read his Miranda Warning, the man stated he had meth in his vehicle. He was charged with possession of methamphetamine for resale and possession of drug paraphernalia.
24-012947 – 100 BLK Margareta Lane – Suspicious Person – A caller reported seeing someone in her backyard with a flashlight. Upon police arrival they located a female party in the creek bed collecting firewood. She was checked for warrants and was allowed to continue collecting firewood.
24-012948 – 10 I 75 NB – Traffic Stop/MVC No Injuries – Officers observed a black Honda run the red light at Ringgold Road and Camp Jordan Pkwy. The vehicle then drove through a ditch then the wrong way onto the exit ramp from I75NB. The driver was identified and cited for several offences.
24-012951 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Vehicle/Warrant Arrest – Police observed a vehicle sitting in the parking lot running for an unusual amount of time. When officers approached the vehicle, they observed marijuana lying on the passenger seat. Police asked the occupant to exit the vehicle. A records check was conducted, and she had a valid East Ridge arrest warrant. The party was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County jail.
24-012952 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Field Interview/Warrant Arrest – While police were patrolling the parking lot, employees advised two individuals were at the end of the lot acting suspiciously. Units got out with the two individuals, who informed units they were waiting for a ride. Officers began to conduct a field interview and checked with dispatch for warrants. The male subject was taken into custody for a Session’s warrant (Probationary Capias for Theft of Property) and a Red Bank warrant.
24-012956 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – A man reported a woman had taken the keys to his truck without permission. She may have taken his wallet with $1,800 but he cannot confirm because his truck is locked. Police attempted to locate the woman at her residence but made no contact. Warrants for theft are pending.
24-012957 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Vehicle/Arrest – After getting out with a suspicious vehicle, officers contacted the female occupant. She had two warrants out of East Ridge (Theft over $1,000, Identity theft). The party was transported to Hamilton County jail without further incident.
