Day Shift October 18
24-013327 – 7600 BLK Standifer Gap Road – Warrant Service – A woman was served with an Alias Capias for Shoplifting while in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.
24-013324 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – An officer transported a man and woman from the Bradley County Jail to the Hamilton County Jail where they were each served with an Alias Capias warrant out of East Ridge.
24-013332 – 3500 BLK Cathy Lane – Deceptive Practice – The victim reported her $500 check was altered after she dropped it off at the East Ridge Post office.
24-013336 – 3600 BLK Helen Lane Apt. A – Domestic Assault – A woman reported her husband broke the window to her vehicle and unintentionally elbowed her in the face during an argument. He advised the window was broken prior to the argument, and his elbow never touched her. Police did not observe any markings on the female’s face and the vehicle was registered to both parties. One subject agreed to leave for the night.
Night Shift October 18
24-013344 – 4018 Bennett Road – Disorder with a Weapon – Police responded to a road rage incident involving a white Ford F150 and a gold Ford Focus station wagon. The vehicles left the area, but police located the Ford F150 on McBrien Road and identified the driver. He stated the Ford Focus started following him and threatened to shoot him at the intersection, but a weapon was never brandished. The Ford Focus was not located, and the driver has not been identified.
24-013346 – 1000 Bass Pro Drive – Theft in Progress / Arrest – Police responded to a Theft in Progress. Loss Prevention advised a male took a holster without paying for it and left in a dark colored truck. Officers located the truck and initiated a traffic stop. The driver was identified, and a probable cause search of the truck yielded two stolen items, a firearm, and drug paraphernalia. The suspect was arrested and charged with Theft of Property, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
24-013362 – 200 BLK Shepherd Avenue – Extra Patrol – The Chattanooga Police Department responded to a home invasion on Pinewood Avenue near the City of Ridgeside. The suspect left the house on foot wearing a black ski mask. East Ridge Police initiated an extra patrol in the City of Ridgeside to assist in the search for the suspect and to ensure the suspect did not attempt another burglary. The suspect was not located. Reference CPD #24-097685.
Day Shift October 19
24-013364 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A woman was served an East Ridge warrant for Forgery at the Hamilton County Jail.
24-013371 – 700 BLK South Sanctuary Road – Warrant Service – While attempting to serve an active warrant, police observed a jar of marijuana and rolling paper. Additional warrants have been sought.
24-013376 – 1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive – Shoplifting – Loss Prevention stated they have video of a male suspect entering the business on 10/17 at 1425 hours. The suspect enters wearing Nike Sneakers and leaves wearing Arial Groundbreaker Boots. The suspect then leaves the box in another area of the store. The box contained the suspect’s sneakers.
24-013373 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – Police received a report of a male waving a gun at Bojangles. No one was located.
Night Shift October 19
24-013395 – 500 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Disorder / Assist Other Agency – Police responded to a Disorder at the restaurant. The manager reported a customer was intoxicated and arguing with other customers. Officers located the suspect and identified him. Police found the man had a Failure to Appear warrant through the City of Red Bank. He was arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail. He was also trespassed from the location.
24-013402 – 7100 BLK Tanager Court – Public Intoxication / Arrest – Police responded to a Disorder at the residence and determined there was a verbal argument between a woman and her ex-boyfriend. The man had not been invited to the residence and was highly intoxicated. He was arrested for Public Intoxication and transported to jail.
24-013387 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Rd – Animal Call – Police responded to this address after a traveler found a small kitten in their engine compartment. Officers assisted in removing the kitten and finding it a new home.
24-013412 – 3600 BLK Fountain Avenue– Disorder / Arrest – The caller reported an unknown male was beating on her apartment door and would not go away. Police located an intoxicated male outside the apartment and identified him. Officers attempted to take him to his apartment, but he refused to cooperate. The subject was arrested for Public Intoxication and was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-013415 – 3600 BLK Shirl Jo Lane – Unknown 911 – Police responded to the area after Dispatch received a call from a 911 only phone. The caller stated he needed 911 services to take him home. Police checked the area but found no one who needed assistance.
24-013409 – 1400 BLK San Hsi Drive – Unknown 911 – Police responded to the area after Dispatch received a vague text message from an unknown caller. Police located a female caller and determined she was concerned about an Uber driver who dropped her off. Police checked the area and found the Uber driver was gone.
Day Shift October 20
No Complaint # – East Ridge City – Warrant Service – Officers attempted to serve eight warrants at various locations in the city.
24-013429 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Road – Child Abuse – Multiple customers reported a woman disciplined her son in the restroom to such an extent that they could hear him scream from the dining area. The woman advised she struck her child on his rear-end and did not feel the punishment was excessive. Officers did not observe any obvious injuries to the child and had no reason to believe he was in imminent danger. The incident was passed along to DCS for further investigation.
24-013424 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Car Fire – The alternator in a vehicle overheated and caught fire. The motorist pulled into a parking lot and waited for the fire department to extinguish the flames.
Night Shift October 20
24-013451 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Violation / Arrest – Police responded to a disorder involving three individuals. Upon further investigation, police arrested all three individuals for different charges. One man was charged with Public Intoxication. A woman was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Xanax for Resale. Another woman was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The three suspects were transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
24-013441 – 5400 BLK Ringgold Rd – Traffic Stop / DUI Arrest – Police observed a silver Ford Focus tailgating another vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The driver was determined to be highly intoxicated while driving for Lyft. He was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Open Container Law.
24-013454 – 4300 Ringgold Rd – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police observed a silver Nissan Altima cross over the yellow lines while traveling westbound on Ringgold Road. Police initiated a traffic stop, the driver was identified and found to be driving on a revoked license. He was arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-013455 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft / Assist Other Agency – Police located a man after he attempted to walk out the store with a jug of milk and a snack cake. Management declined to charge him with the theft but requested he be trespassed from the location. He was found to have an active warrant for Larceny through Catoosa County, GA. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
