The following information was compiled from “pass along reports” provided by the East Ridge Police Department.
November 14 – Day Shift
3725 Fountain Avenue (The Belvoir?)- Vandalism-
The complainant called police to this location to make a report on a vandalism that occurred to her Enterprise rental car while her daughter was being assaulted by her boyfriend, Cory, inside the vehicle. The complainant reported a dented rear quarter panel, the rear view mirror being torn off, and the front windshield cracked. The victim of the assault left the scene prior to police arrival and was not able to make a report of the assault. No further suspect information is known beyond a black male named Cory. Cory also fled the scene prior to police arrival.
712 Summit Avenue #21- Suspicious Activity-
Upon arrival police met with the complainant who stated he witness a gray hatchback car drive up to the mailboxes at the apartments this morning and one white male got out of the vehicle and looked in several of the mailboxes. The white male did get some things out of the complainant’s mailbox which he believes is his blood pressure medication. The complainant then witnessed the gray car drive off with three people total in the car. No further suspect information or vehicle information is available.
6721 Ringgold Road (Family Dollar)- Suspicious Person-
The caller advised of a white male looking through the dumpster. Upon arrival the male was advised to move along.
6511 Slater Road (Crazy Daisy)- Theft-
On scene, police met with the reporting party. She advised an unknown suspect stole a large cast iron pot that was in front of the store. RP stated that she saw the pot in front of the store on 11-13 at 1800 when she left work and upon her arrival back around 1200 hours today the pot was gone. RP further advised the handle to the cast iron pot was secured to the building with a metal cable, and the cable had been cut. RP did not have potential suspect information.
South Germantown @ Maple Lane- Improperly Parked Vehicles-
Several callers called to advise of multiple vehicles blocking Maple Lane due to the Action Church giving away free clothing. On arrival officers spoke with several people and had them move their vehicles.
500 Bluebird Circle- Suspicious Vehicle-
Police observed an unoccupied, black Dodge Journey sitting next to the roadway near a wooded lot. The vehicle displayed Georgia PYP5738 which came back to the vehicle and showed as not stolen. After police left the area, a resident reported that a thin white male with a black mask entered the vehicle and drove away at a high rate of speed. Police returned to the area but did not locate the vehicle.

November 14 – Night Shift
3657 Ringgold Rd / Disorder:
Police responded to this location in reference to a Hispanic male kicking the door of room 23. Upon arrival police made contact with three Hispanic males outside of room 23 and observed all three exhibiting signs of being heavily intoxicated. Police made contact with one of the male parties who became increasingly hostile demanding police inform him who called so he could handle it himself. Police ultimately took Jose Flores into custody for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
1116 Edwin Ln / Burglary in Progress:
Police responded to this location in reference to a burglary in progress, due to the delay in the 911 call the suspect had left prior to police arrival. After police were on scene it was determined Coung “David” Mang forced entry into this residence by breaking the front door. The only occupants inside the residence at the time were children and a babysitter. The residence is the home of Mang’s ex-wife who has active orders of protection against him. Police are seeking warrants. The suspect is believed to be in a white 2020 Volkswagen Passat.
1410 Mack Smith Road / Disorder:
Timothy Chambers and Julie Grisham were criminally trespassed from the Budgetel following an argument between the two.
601 Walnut Street / Arrest-Warrant:
Michael Ladale Davis, Jr. was arrested on a Capias warrant for Theft over $1000. Davis, Jr. was transported to Hamilton County Jail by another agency.
601 Walnut Street / Arrest-Warrant:
Tyler Adam Warner was arrested on an Alias/Capias warrant for Driving on Revoked. Warner was transported to Hamilton County Jail by Hamilton County Sheriff Department.
4150 Ringgold Road / Vandalism:
The complainant reported his 2006 Dodge Magnum damaged while parked on the lot Walmart Neighborhood Market. Someone broke off the driver’s side mirror.
1200 Greens Lake Road / Arrest-Traffic:
Timothy James Chambers was arrested for Driving on Suspended following a traffic stop for no taillights.

November 15 – Day Shift
1116 Edwin Lane- Shots Fired-
The caller advised of hearing one gunshot in the area. She advised she felt this might be related to her estranged ex-boyfriend and last night’s burglary. Officers checked the area with nothing out of the ordinary located.
1628 John Ross Road (Abandoned House)- Trespassing-
An anonymous caller advised of a silver SUV parked behind the house occupied by two white males. On arrival contact was made with a Corbin Rankhorn. He was detained while officers searched for the second male. The house and outbuildings were checked but the second male was not located. Rankhorn was checked for warrants and issued a criminal trespass warning.
3601 Clairmont Avenue- Warrant Service-
Charles Jay was located at this address and arrested on an East Ridge warrant. He was transported to 601.
4006 Bennett Road- Suspicious Person-
The caller advised an unknown male was knocking on her door and looking into her vehicle. Upon arrival police spoke to the male and advised him to leave.

November 15 – Night Shift
1417 St Thomas St / Domestic:
Kenneth Matthews was taken into custody for domestic assault and violation of an order of protection following a fight with his girlfriend.
5080 S Terrace / Assist Fire:
Police and fire were called to the area due to a resident stating that they heard a loud explosion and was seeing smoke billowing from behind the theater. Police arrived on scene to find the homeless camp in the woods had caught on fire. On scene was Brenda A., who stated that she started a fire to cook oatmeal and it got out of control. Brenda was written a misdemeanor citation for reckless burning.
