The following information was compiled from “pass along” reports provided by the East Ridge Police Department.
May 25 Day Shift
4152 Ringgold Road (forgery):
A female suspect attempted to pass a bogus $900 check at Smart Bank, but staff was already aware of the same attempt at another branch. Bank staff were able to get the suspect to add a fingerprint to the check which was then turned over to police. (22-007391)
1012 Hurst Street (animal call):
A homeowner called police and Animal Services after locating a snake in the yard. The non-venomous snake was relocated to a nearby tree line. (22-007377)
Franklin Place (harassment):
A woman looked out her window to see her ex-boyfriend knocking on her door. He had been arrested a year ago for domestic assault and continues to harass her. A warrant is being sought for him. (22-007387)
1410 Mack Smith Road Room 2107 (miscellaneous):
Police were called to the Budgetel to assist in removing Victoria Lewis who refused to leave after check out time. (22-007388)
1410 Mack Smith Road Room (runaway juvenile):
Greenville DCS called about a juvenile who ran away from state custody on February 3, 2022. She was believed to be at this location with her non-custodial mother. The child was located and transported to JDU pending being retrieved by Greenville DCS. (22-007376)
821 Belvoir Circle Drive (theft):
The homeowner reported the theft of his city provided garbage can sometime in the past few days. He did not have any suspect information. (22-007370)

Night Shift
915 S. Seminole Dr (Narcotics arrest 22-007412):
A traffic stop was conducted on a rental vehicle occupied by Ruquez Harris and Rodney Bates. During a consent search of the vehicle, police located 7.77 ounces of suspected pressed Fentanyl pills. Neither party claimed ownership therefore both were arrested for Possession of Schedule II for Resale.
1500 block S Seminole Dr (Disorder 22-007398):
Police responded to this location for a disorder. After investigating the matter police discovered no crime to have taken place. Police transported a subject to Jo Johnson mental health center at her request.
3200 Ringgold Rd (DUI 22-007410):
Police received a call from a citizen stating a Toyota truck was bouncing off the walls while traveling through the tunnels. Police arrested the driver for DUI, after he was found passed out behind the wheel in the intersection of S Seminole Drive and Ringgold Road.
1410 Mack Smith Rd (Disorder 22-007404):
Police responded to a report of a male smoking marijuana and trespassing at the Budgetel. Police made contact with the man but did not locate any marijuana on his person. Budgetel staff wanted him to be trespassed. The man was issued a trespass warning and sent on his way.
1503 McDonald Rd (Theft 22-007405):
Police took a report of a cell phone stolen at the Waverly. A female entered the business and took the manager’s cell phone off the counter before walking out.
6404 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 22-007406):
Police responded to a report of a male at Burger King who had locked himself in the restroom for an extended period of time. Burger King staff advised the male had been sleeping and loitering at the restaurant for several days. Police made contact with Marcel Thompson, who began causing a disturbance after police arrived. Thompson was ultimately arrested for disorderly conduct.
