The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”
A Chattanooga man was arrested on drug and weapons charges after police stopped his vehicle in the 2100 block of Eledge Road on Sunday.
Willie Wooten, 27, of a Tunnel Boulevard address, was charged with Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Dangerous Felony, Possession of Marijuana for Resale, and Theft of Property.
According to an ERPD “pass along report,” Wooten’s vehicle was stopped at 2113 Eledge Rd. Officers quickly realized the vehicle, which had several bullet holes in it, had been involved in a “shots fired” incident at 12th Street and Highland Park Avenue just moments prior to the stop.
According to the report, Wooten admitted to his presence at the location of the Chattanooga “shots fired” incident. When officers searched his vehicle they discovered 226 grams of marijuana, $19,137 in cash and a stolen 9 mm pistol.
Chattanooga police recovered shell casings at the Highland Park scene. The report states that the stolen pistol will be submitted for testing.
March 27 Day Shift
3900 block Bennett Road (shots fired/aggravated assault)21-004082:
Dispatch received several calls of shots fired from occupants of two cars engaged in a shootout while driving toward each other on Bennett Road on opposite sides of the intersection with John Ross Road. A witness observed a male shooting through a sunroof of a maroon vehicle, but he was unable to provide additional information. All parties were gone prior to police arrival, but police did retrieve five spent shell casings from the suspected eastbound vehicle and two fired bullets from the westbound vehicle. Police have not been made aware of any injuries or property damage from the shooting. CID was notified.
3627 Helen Lane Apt. (assist EMS)21-004081:
Police responded with EMS to a call concerning chest pains and located a male subject in a black Lincoln complaining of chest pains, a broken arm and facial injuries. Subject provided little information but claimed to be a passenger in an unknown vehicle that had collided with an unknown barrier. Subject was then dropped off at this location where his children’s mother called for help. Police could not determine where this alleged crash occurred.

4150 Ringgold Rd/ Vehicle fire (21-004102):
Police assisted ERFD with a vehicle fire in the Walmart parking lot. The fire was extinguished without incident.
5701 Ringgold Rd/ Shoplifting (21-004107):
Police took a report of a B/M suspect entering the Dollar General Store and taking a large gray bin full of items without paying.
5303 Anderson Ave/ Theft from vehicle (21-004112):
Police took a report of an unknown suspect entering a Dodge Ram and taking a Ruger 9mm handgun. The firearm was placed into NCIC.
3800 Ringgold Rd/ DUI (21-004126)
Police arrested Olivia Goodall for underage driving while impaired, following a traffic stop.
500 S. Seminole Drive (21-030325)-
Taurus Dowdy was taken into custody for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (felon in possession) following a traffic stop.
1505 Truman Ave – Auto Burglary 21-004111 –
Complainant reported an unknown party entered her unlocked vehicle the previous evening. She did not want a police report, only for police to patrol the area.
6600 Ringgold Road – Public Intox 21-004121 –
Michelle Penter was arrested for Public Intoxication after a passerby observed her running into oncoming traffic.
Anderson Avenue @ S. St. Marks Avenue / Suspicious Person(s) – 21-004117:
The caller reported three males wearing hoodies aimlessly walking around at this location. The males were located and identified. All three were under the age of 18 years of age, and one possessed a BB pistol. A parent was contacted to pick up the three young men. The pistol was turned over to the mother.
Ringgold Road @ S. Moore Road / Traffic Incident – 21-004119:
A white male was observed walking on the roadway, not on the sidewalk. The male, identified as Andrew G. of the Bugetel Inn and Suites, was advised of the dangers of walking in the roadway. Andrew was transported to Budgetel. The staff at Budgetel were looking for him.

St. Thomas Street (mental health consumer/fraud)21-004148:
Male Subject reported members of the Aryan Brotherhood are texting him threatening messages from unknown phone numbers. Subject also reported $32 billion dollars in bitcoin was stolen from an unclaimed money website in his name, as well as stocks and bonds.
