Day Shift March 15
24-003240- 6500 BLK Ringgold Rd – Suspicious Person- Management reported an individual who was seated at the bar appeared to be talking to himself and was making the staff uncomfortable. They wished to have the individual trespassed from the property. The individual was identified and informed he was trespassed from the property.
24-003240- Woods Behind 5700 BLK Ringgold Road- Trespass – A woman was found living in the woods behind a business. She claimed she was unable to walk, but assured police she was the owner of the City of East Ridge. With the help of East Ridge Fire, she was given a curtesy lift to an ambulance. She was issued a trespass warning from the property.
24-003252- 1500 BLK Waterhouse Street- Disorder- The party wanted to report that children are disturbing his peace while playing outside. He stated he cut their ball because it hit his window. The children were asked to stay on their side of the property line.
Night Shift March 15
23-003264 – 4000 BLK Bennett Road– Suicide Threats – Officers responded this location regarding an intoxicated male threatening to slit his throat. Upon arrival officers contacted the male subject who expressed suicidal ideations with officers while speaking with him. The male subject was transported to for mental evaluation without incident.
24-003261,24-003268 – 1300 BLK Adonna Ln – SIA/Auto Theft/Narcotics – While on patrol, officers observed a stolen Volkswagen SUV parked in a driveway on Adonna Lane. Crime Suppression Investigators along with patrol contacted a male party. After a consent search of the residence a man was taken into custody for theft (motor vehicle), narcotics and paraphernalia offenses. A woman was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant out of general sessions for theft.
24-003272 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Disorder – A man was taken into custody for Assault (2x) and Vandalism Over $1,000 after attempting to strike two nurses and destroying a hospital room at this location.
24-003274 – 100 BLK Shallowford Road – House Alarm – Police responded to a glass break alarm at a residence in Ridgeside. Upon arriving and investigating the glass break police were confronted by the homeowner holding a handgun and pointing it at police. Once convinced we were in fact the police, the resident relinquished her firearm and allowed police to investigate further. Police determined only the outer pane of glass was destroyed. No further incident.
24-003279 – 3300 BLK Blythe Avenue, Cleveland – Arrest-Warrant – A man was arrested on Forfeiture Capias warrant for Driving on Suspended and transported to Hamilton County Jail with a court date of May 7, 2024.
Day Shift March 16
24-003281- 7609 Standifer Gap Road- Warrant Service- A woman was served with an outstanding East Ridge warrant at the Hamilton County Jail. The warrant was an Alias Capias with the original charge being possession of drug paraphernalia.
24-003283- 900 BLK Spring Creek Road- Disorder/Arrest- Police spoke with hospital security and nurses who stated the suspect was irate with hospital staff. Police entered the room and spoke with the man who was continually arguing. Officers escorted him out of the room, at which point he began pulling away from police. He was arrested and transported to jail without incident.
24-003290- 6700 BLK Ringgold Road- Disorder- The caller advised he was having trouble with the guest and requested police assistance with removal. Officers spoke with the guest. He decided to leave the motel.
24-003291- 5400 BLK Marion Avenue- Suspected Domestic Violence- Police responded to speak with the reporting party. Hamilton County EMS had responded for a reported stroke. EMS observed bruising about the head and face of the patient but did not observe symptoms consistent with a stroke. EMS stated the husband seemed frantic when they arrived on scene. Police spoke with Hospital staff who believed that the victim self-medicated. Police attempted to speak with the patient, but she was too incoherent to make a statement. Police were instructed to contact medical staff later for a follow up.
24-003292- 3600 BLK Fountain Avenue- Stolen Vehicle Recovery- Following an LPR hit a vehicle reported stolen out of Chattanooga was located unoccupied at the apartment complex by the ERPD K-9. After a short time, the driver returned and left the lot. A traffic stop was initiated, and a man was detained and transported to jail on the theft warrants. The vehicle was removed from NCIC and towed.
Night Shift March 16
24-003310 – 6404 Ringgold Road –Warrant Service – While investigating a complaint a man was arrested for an active petition to revoke warrant for possession of controlled substance. Another party was also arrested for an active warrant out of Walker County for failure to appear. Report on file.
24-003323 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop – Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for having no license plate displayed. Following the interaction officers completed a gang validation.
24-003324 – 5600 BLK Ringgold Road – Misdemeanor Citation – Two parties were issued Misdemeanor Citations for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Simple Possession of Methamphetamine, Simple Possession of Fentanyl, and Driving on Revoked following a traffic stop at this location.
24-003330 – 5700 BLK Ringgold Road – Field Interview – Police conducted a traffic stop on a white Dodge Charger at this location for a window tint and light law violation. Following the encounter officers completed a gang validation.
24-003333 – 3700 BLK Norma Drive – Citizen Assist – Police responded to a suspicious vehicle. Police observed the vehicle had a flat tire and two intoxicated occupants. The intoxicated couple agreed to walk home to a nearby address. Their son removed the vehicle from the roadway.
Day Shift March 17
24-003338- 6300 BLK Ringgold Road- Disorder- The caller advised a homeless male was sleeping on the sidewalk. Police spoke with the male and checked him for warrants. He was sent on his way.
Night Shift March 17
24-003349 – 1500 BLK Waterhouse Street – Back Fire/Arrest – Police responded again to complaints of juvenile starting fires and disturbing neighbors. Police contacted all the juveniles’ parents that were staying at this residence. The adult was issued a misdemeanor citation for contributing to delinquency of minors. All parents or legal guardians came to retrieve their children. A CPS report was also filed.
24-003357 – Altamaha Street/Haisten Court – Field Interview – Police conducted a field interview with a party on a bicycle. Officers instructed him to have his reflectors/lights on while riding.
24-003358 – 3600 BLK Altamira Drive – Suspicious Activity – Police responded to a suspicious person who was seen trespassing in a front yard. The suspect was believed to be fleeing from Walker County deputies while wanted for theft of a motorcycle. ERPD assisted in the manhunt for several hours but were unable to locate the suspect.
24-003363 – 400 BLK Highway 41, Fort Oglethorpe – Assist another Agency – ERPD observed Fort Oglethorpe Police on a traffic stop alone and stopped to assist. The violator was arrested on Trafficking Schedule II and Possession w/ Intent to Distribute.
24-003364 – Bennett Road/Pioneer Ridge Trail – Suspicious Person – While patrolling, police observed a bicyclist on the roadway with no lights on. Police took her into custody on a warrant out of Catoosa County GA. She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
Day Shift March 18
24-003385-1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive – Theft – An unknown male concealed an extended firearm magazine and handguard assembly in his hoodie then exited the store. The suspect fled the scene in a tan Chevy Equinox. It was later discovered the vehicle had been loaned to a neighbor during the time of the theft.
24-003373 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Arrest- Following a traffic stop at this location, a woman was taken into custody for criminal conspiracy and driving on revoked. She was taken into custody for criminal impersonation.
24-003358 – 3600 BLK Cline Road – Suspicious Activity – The homeowner stated at 2130 an unknown male rang her door bell. The homeowner stated she did not answer and the male left. She stated she observed several ERPD vehicles in the area with search lights. ERPD was assisting Walker County in finding a person who stole a motorcycle on Claire Street (GA) in that same time frame. ERPD contacted Walker County and forwarded the Ring camera video in furtherance of their investigation.
24-003393 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft From a Vehicle- The caller stated upon returning home, she realized she was no longer in possession of her purse. She returned to business to file a report. She surmised in the few moments it took for her to walk to the cart stall, parties unknown entered her vehicle and stole her purse containing credit cards and her cell phone. The cart stall was checked to ensure she did not leave her purse in the cart. Later, she called and stated she located her purse in a ditch near her house and all contents intact, albeit strewn in the mud as if someone had thrown it at her residence.
Night Shift March 18
24-003422 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Disorder – Hospital staff requested help with an unruly patient. Police were able to quickly calm the patient and help him understand the process of a CON and why he is unable to leave. The patient agreed to calm down and work through the process with the staff.
24-003424 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Narcotics Violation – Hospital staff reported a patient with illegal narcotics. Upon searching the bag, it was determined the woman was in possession of drug paraphernalia, three Guaifenesin pills, and .4g of an unknown white powder. Police will be seeking warrants.
24-003401 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – Management advised the suspect had stolen several cases of alcohol. While responding to another call for service at the same address, officers spotted the suspect at a gas pump attempting to steal another two cases of alcohol. The suspect was identified and post-Miranda, admitted to stealing the items.
24-003414 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity / Warrant Service – A man was taken into custody for a warrant charging possession of methamphetamine for resale out of Walker County, GA. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
