March 16- Day Shift
23-003122 – 5300 BLK Anderson Ave – Assist Fire Department – Police responded with fire personnel on a fire in the wooded area behind AMC theater. When officers arrived they located a structure engulfed, a dog crate engulfed and burning underbrush. Two puppies taken from the scene and turned over to animal services. The dogs appeared uninjured. The fire is under investigation.
23-003127- 5090 South Terrace- Field Interview- Officers located a woman walking out of the wood line where a fire had been started. She had been in the company of a male earlier in the day in the same area. Police made contact with the man and later learned he had active warrants. The woman was checked for warrants and told to move on.
23-003130- 4100 BLK Lazard Street- Disorder- Officers responded to this address due to a juvenile assaulting family and breaking a door frame of her bedroom. Officers on the scene observed the juvenile kicking, screaming, and attempting to hit her parents. The juvenile was transported by police per the parents’ request to be evaluated further.
23-003120 – 3900 BLK Ringgold Rd – Deceptive Practice – The pharmacist reported a party claiming to be a doctor called trying to fill a prescription for cough syrup with codeine. While attempting to verify the validity of the prescription request, it was found the doctor had not submitted the request and it was not filled.
23-003111 – 400 BLK Donaldson Road – Drugs Arrest- A man was arrested for possession of meth for resale, Hamilton County warrant for Aggravated Robbery and a Georgia Parole Violation. Police seized 3.5 ounces of methamphetamine from the residence. A woman was also arrested for possession of fentanyl for resale and possession of sch V for resale.
March 16-Night Shift
23-003145 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Road – Arrest – A man was issued multiple traffic citations and arrested for DUI following a traffic stop at this location.
23-003136 – 6300 BLK Brack Street – Disorder – Police responded to this location regarding a 911 call for a female who was attempting to run over a male with her truck. Police were unable to locate anyone upon their arrival.
23-003137 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Rd – MVC With Injury – Police responded to a crash with injuries. Only minor injuries were observed and were cleared by EMS. A woman was driving her vehicle and struck another vehicle. She was intoxicated to the point no field sobriety tests could be performed and she was taken into custody.
23-003133 – 3600 BLK – Ringgold Road – Public intoxication – Police were called here regarding a disorder. Police learned a woman was intoxicated and causing a disorder. She was arrested for public intoxication.
23-003132 – 1500 BLK E. Ridge Avenue – Found Property – Children found checks on the sidewalk. Those checks were placed into property.
23-003140 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Assault – Police were called here regarding an alleged assault. The alleged suspect had left before police arrival. The victim stated the woman had intentionally ran over his foot after an argument in the parking lot.
