The following information was compiled from “pass along reports” provided by the East Ridge Police Department.
March 15 Day Shift
No number assigned- 5500 blk of Ringgold Road- Traffic Hazard-
While on patrol police found a large number of nails and paint cans in the roadway. Police and Fire blocked Ringgold Road and contacted the Street Department. The nails and paint were cleaned up as best it could be before the roadway was reopened.
21-003455- 1600 block Prigmore Road- Vandalism-
The caller advised an unknown suspect spray painted his yard sometime during the night. He immediately suspected his neighbor of being responsible. On arrival the paint was found to be utility markings for a construction project he is undertaking.
21-003457- 5700 Roper Street K2 (Newcastle)- Aggravated Burglary-
The caller advised she heard a loud noise coming from her neighbor’s apartment. When she looked out, she saw the door had been kicked in. She also advised she observed a blue Toyota SUV leaving the area with a Georgia tag QBP2191. The SUV was found to be stolen out of Catoosa County. On arrival the victim advised her apartment had been ransacked and a safe was stolen. In the safe was cash and personal information. The suspects are unknown males. CID responded to the scene for evidence collection. Catoosa County also had burglaries today with the same suspect vehicle.
21-003460- 4227 Ringgold Road (Jack’s)- Suspicious Person-
The caller advised of a white male walking through the lot with two back packs. The male appeared disoriented. On arrival police contacted the male. He is one of our regular homeless just passing through.
21-003465- 6513 Ringgold Road (Waffle House)- Suspicious People-
The caller advised of two white males bothering customers at the business. On arrival the males left the area without incident.
21-003468- 3600 block Ida Belle Lane- Disorder-
The caller requested police response due to ongoing issues with her neighbor, Wensdy Griffith. On arrival police encountered a Hamilton County civil process server attempting to serve a temporary order of protection. Griffith was served and strongly advised not to return to the caller’s residence.

Night Shift
1900 McBrien Rd (Disorder 21-003475):
A caller reported observing a disorder between a male and female driving on Ringgold Rd. Police made contact with Melissa Hunt and Michael W. who denied there was a disorder. Hunt was found to have a full extradition warrant through Georgia. She was detained and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
1417 St Thomas St (Theft 21-003479):
The reporting party stated someone had taken her debit card and removed $2,600 from her checking account.
941 Spring Creek Rd (Disorder 21-003480):
Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated female who was being disorderly with emergency room staff at Parkridge East. Police made contact with Tiffany Hickman who immediately became combative with officers. She was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and assault on police. She was cleared by the hospital and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
3000 Ringgold Road (Arrest – 21-003485):
Alexander Ortiz-Gutierrez was arrested for driving while revoked for DUI during a traffic stop at this location.
100 Interstate 75 South (Assist Fire 21-003487):
Police responded with the fire department on a vehicle fire. Officers arrived and located a semi-truck cab fully engulfed in flames. Officers provided traffic control while the fire department extinguished the fire.
900 block Geswein Ct (Overdose 21-003497):
Police responded with EMS on an apparent drug overdose. Officers arrived and began CPR and administered one dose of Narcan. The patient was transported to the hospital by EMS. Warrants will be sought for possession of heroin.
