March 13-Day Shift
23-002966- 4100 BLK Ringgold Road- Gas Leak- Police responded with ERFD on a natural gas leak. On scene officers blocked traffic while crews stopped the leak.
23-002970- 5400 BLK Ringgold Road- Check Fraud/Arrest- A man was arrested attempting to pass a fraudulent check. He was transported to Silverdale. Charges will be pending with Chattanooga Police Dept. on a check fraud occurring within their jurisdiction.
23-002972- 1000 BLK Lansdell Road- Found Property- On this date officers spoke with the complainant at her home about property she had found. She told officers she had found two one-dollar bills at the gas station next to her car in the parking lot. She picked it up and took it home. Once at home she had second thoughts about picking up the money thinking it may have fentanyl on it. Officers seized the the bills and placed it into P&E.
23-002973- 3700 BLK of Fountain Avenue- Suspicious Person- The caller advised a male with a large dog was walking in the neighborhood taking pictures of houses. On scene police spoke with the caller. The male was not located.
March 13-Night Shift
23-002996- 3600 Gleason Drive- Alarm-Burglar- Police were dispatched to this location for a garage door motion. The house checked secure.
23-002991- 3900 BLK Wiley Avenue- Harassment- A female subject reported receiving unwanted and alarming photos via text message from her ex-boyfriend. Warrant applied for.
23-002997- 6400 BLK Ringgold Road- Disorder- A female entered the restaurant and cussed and yelled at the Assistant Manager over a misunderstanding with an online order. The same female pushed items off the counter. The female tried to back over the employee when he/she tried to take a picture of the license plate.
23-003004- 4320 Bennett Road, East Ridge High School- Alarm-Burglar- Police were dispatched for an alarm and a responsible arrived and reset the alarm. Nothing was located.
March 14-Day Shift
23-003007- 941 Spring Creek Road- Unwanted Person- The caller advised of a male in the lobby refusing to leave. On scene police assisted the male to his residence.
23-003008- 5400 BLK Marion Avenue- Overdose- Police responded with EMS on a possible overdose. On scene officers stood by while EMS handled the call.
23-003012- 100 BLK Margareta lane- Auto Theft- the victim advised he stepped outside to start his green Chevrolet Avalanche with Tennessee plates. Approximately twenty minutes later he returned outside and observed his vehicle no longer in the parking lot. There are no suspects. Later in the shift dispatch informed police of a potential location for the vehicle near the Chef Lin Restaurant at 5084 S Terrace. It was not located and the suspects were found to have committed several thefts in the area. The vehicle was entered in NCIC.
23-003013- 3800 BLK Ringgold Road- Vandalism- Police spoke with the owners of the salon regarding vandalism of their property. They said they last saw the glass door of their store intact at 3 PM when they closed yesterday. A shop caretaker discovered the door completely shattered when he came in this morning around 9:45. The owners said they have no suspects or enemies that they know who would damage their shop door. The estimated cost of repairing the door is about $1,000.
23-003016- 1600 BLK of Keeble Street- Disorder- Prior to arrival on scene police were told by dispatch that a female exited a red sedan and was approaching another vehicle while holding a knife and yelling. Police arrived on scene and observed a female standing in the roadway and yelling at a female seated in a separate vehicle. The female was detained and identified. While speaking to both parties involved it was determined that no knife was used and the two were related and simply arguing. Both females were released from the scene and no charges are pending.
March 14-Night Shift
23-003042 – 1400 BLK Altamaha St – Drug Arrest – While patrolling, police observed a female stumbling in the roadway. As officers attempted to make contact with her she fled on foot westbound on Oakdale Ave. After a foot pursuit, the female was detained and identified. Police located 5.4 grams of methamphetamine and several syringes on her person. She was arrested for possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia, evading arrest, and public intoxication.
23-003046- 18260 Interstate 24 EB- Crash-Property Damage- The driver of a truck, that was towing a trailer, hit a construction warning sign and called to report it.
23-003047- 3600 BLK Bennett Road- Mentally Disturbed- Police were dispatched to a residence regarding a 25-year-old female having mental issues. The female had not been taking her prescribed medication. EMS was called and the female was transported to Parkridge East Hospital for a mental health evaluation.
