Day Shift May 31
24-006986 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road– Arrest – Emergency room staff reported a man had become increasingly volatile and disorderly throughout the early morning hours. Officers attempted to calm the man and convince him to be compliant with hospital staff. He continued to refuse and became even more disorderly, causing alarm throughout the emergency department. He was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct, public intoxication and resisting arrest.
24-006989 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road– Arrest – A patient on a CON fled from the campus and was located a short time later by police. She was distraught and crying and stated she was not going back to the ER. After several minutes of unsuccessfully attempting to calm her, she began walking away from the officers. It was clear she was a danger to herself. While attempting to detain her she became physically resistive, combative and pulled her hands away. During the struggle the woman struck an officer with a closed fist. She was taken into custody for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and assault.
24-007000 – 600 BLK Sharondale Road – Vehicle Fire – Police responded with the fire department on a vehicle fire. The fire was extinguished, and the vehicle towed from the scene.
24-006992 – 1000 BLK John Ross Road – Suspicious Activity – A teacher from the summer school care program reported an unknown male exited a black sedan and threw money on the ground. She stated when he noticed kids on the playground, he threw a bunch of cash over the fence and said something about “blessing others.” After reviewing CCTV footage, it was determined a man well known to police was the party responsible. It is estimated he had thrown out at least $140.
24-007005 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A man arrived at the police department with a bondsman to be served outstanding warrants for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Felony Evading. He was served with the warrants and released.
24-007001 – 1400 BLK Mana Lane – Disorder – The courtesy officer requested police assistance with trespassing several unruly juveniles from the property. The juveniles ran from the courtesy officer after seeing his vehicle and were gone when officers arrived.
24-006997 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Deceptive Practice – A woman informed police she had been scammed out of $5,500 after she received a Facebook message from an individual who identified herself as “Barbara Susan” with the Department of Health and Human Services. Susan instructed the victim to purchase Apple Gift Cards and send a picture of the gift cards to her via Facebook Messenger in exchange for a larger sum of money. She later realized she had been scammed when “Susan” continued to request money without sending any back. A warrant for theft will be sought pending identification of the suspect.
Night Shift May 31
24-007018 – Ringgold Road @ Mack Smith Road – Felony Evading – CSU observed a 2014 Blue Ford Fusion believed to be a DUI driver. As the driver turned the vehicle south on Mack Smith Road he failed to keep it in its proper lane of travel. The driver allowed the vehicle to drift across the double yellow line and into the opposing lane of travel several times. The driver was also accelerating and decelerating in an erratic manner. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver failed to stop. He then accelerated, turned south on Mack Smith Road running through a stop sign, and almost hit multiple vehicles. Due to the abnormal reckless behavior of the driver the pursing unit elected to discontinue the pursuit just south of Steele Road on Mack Smith Road.
24-007024 – 3600 BLK Fountain Avenue – Arrest – A party was taken into custody for Driving on Revoked as well as seven outstanding warrants through Sessions including two for Aggravated Assault.
24-007030- 3300 BLK Ringgold Road- Arrest – A man was observed walking in the middle of the 3300 block of Ringgold Road. He immediately started yelling/screaming towards police, and the odor of alcohol was very apparent. He was arrested and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
24-007033 – 18000 I-24 Westbound – Felony Evading – Police initiated a traffic stop on a white Ford Explorer. While attempting to get the driver out of the vehicle, the driver sped off striking the officer with the B pillar of the vehicle. Police pursued the vehicle to Main Street where the vehicle crashed into a gate in the parking lot of Charlies BBQ. Both the driver and passenger ran from the vehicle. Police checked the area along with CPD’s drone unit but were unable to locate the suspects. Police confirmed the vehicle to be stolen as well. Warrants are being sought for both the driver and passenger.
Day Shift June 1
24-007043- 4100 BLK Ringgold Road- Traffic Stop/ Arrest- Police observed a white Ford Focus travelling 69 mph in a 40-mph zone. Officers initiated a traffic stop and recognized a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, 27.3 grams of marijuana, a Glock 22 and various drug paraphernalia were recovered. The driver was taken into custody for possession of a firearm during a felony, possession of scheduled VI for resale and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia.
24-007056 – 3300 BLK Ringgold Road – Assault/Fight – Police responded on a report of a fight between a juvenile and an adult employee. The juvenile party, who remained on scene, claimed the employee assaulted her and struck her with a firearm. An employee on scene advised the fight was mutual and she did not observe a firearm. The suspect had left the scene prior to police arrival. This incident is still under investigation.
Night Shift June 1
24-007061- 3800 BLK Ringgold Road- BOLO / Arrest – Police received a BOLO from the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office concerning a possible kidnapping. Police located the suspect vehicle and found it was occupied. The female stated she was not being held against her will. The man was found to have a protection order against him with his passenger named as the protected party. He was taken into custody and charged with violation of an order of protection.
24-007062 – 200 BLK Eads St– Domestic Assault – The caller reported her daughter came into her bedroom and struck her several times. She also stated her daughter would not let her leave the apartment after the incident. Police located the suspect at the entrance of the apartment complex and attempted to arrest her. After a brief altercation, she was taken into custody and charged with false imprisonment, domestic assault, and resisting arrest.
24-007074- 4000 BLK Jersey Pike- Warrant Service – A man was arrested by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Officer for two outstanding East Ridge arrest warrants from 2011. The original charges were Aggravated Burglary and Aggravated Assault (Domestic).
24-007077 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Unconscious Person – Police responded to the report of an unconscious person at this address. Officers found him to be highly intoxicated. He was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Schedule II, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Public Intoxication.
24-007079 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – DUI Arest – Following a traffic stop, a man was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-007082 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – False Report / Assault – Police and Fire responded to a fire alarm at the hotel. A woman advised that a man had pushed her during a verbal argument and refused to let her leave his hotel room. She further stated that he pulled a fire alarm before he left the hotel in a black Mercedes E400. Police were unable to locate a birthday or driver’s license number for the suspect. Warrants will be sought upon proper identification of the suspect.
Day Shift June 2
24-007084 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – Police responded after employees and guests reported a female screaming in a room. Officers checked the room, however, no signs of a female, disturbance, or anything nefarious were present. A male party on scene advised he was there to meet with a party. He believed she was registered to the room, however, after checking several records with the staff it was found no guest with the name he provided was registered there. He was then given a courtesy ride to Georgia.
Night Shift June 2
24-007111 – 5500 BLK Ringgold Road – Felony Evading – Police observed a gold GMC Yukon traveling with dark tinted windows on Ringgold Road and attempted to catch up to it. Police then observed the vehicle accelerate and travel at a high rate of speed southbound on Prigmore Rd. Police activated emergency lights and siren, but the suspect continued to flee west on State Line Road. Police terminated the stop before it became a pursuit.
24-007117 – 3300 BLK Ringgold Rd – Warrant Service – During a routine traffic stop, police found a passenger had multiple warrants through Hamilton County. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
Day Shift June 3
24-007136- 6400 BLK Ringgold Road- Animal Bite- Police were flagged down by a local homeless male. He advised that he believed he had been bitten by a rattlesnake while he was sleeping in his tent. EMS arrived and transported the male to the hospital.
Night Shift June 3
24-007145 – 1500 BLK Tombras Avenue – Theft – A summer camp director stated at around 12 he had campers outside playing with building blocks. The director stated he took the kids in for lunch and left the blocks outside. He stated when he returned the blocks were gone, the blocks were valued at around $900.
24-007154-24-007168 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – Loss Prevention staff reported while reviewing camera footage a female was seen using old receipts for new items. Staff reported the female began doing this on 04/20/2024 and the last known incident was 06/01/2024. The female stole around $1,104.94 worth of goods. Charges are currently being sought for theft of property by fraud.
