June 28 Day Shift
1417 St. Thomas Street (disorder):
Police responded to the Motel 6 concerning a juvenile female heard screaming. The juvenile stated her mother had hit her, but police determined the child suffers from emotional issues. Police contacted an employee with Youth Villages who will be meeting the mother and child. (21-009146)
3725 Fountain Avenue (assist ERFD):
Police assisted with removing a small child from inside a locked vehicle. (21-009137)

Night Shift
1129 McBrien Rd (Disorder Prevention 21-009165):
Police stood by to keep the peace while parties retrieved property. A female subject became argumentative with police and refused to follow directives. She became verbally abusive and hurled racial slurs at officers. She was issued a misdemeanor citation for disorderly conduct after she was transported to the hospital by EMS for stress related issues.
6925 Glenn Errol Way (Delayed Accident 21-009166):
Police responded to a delayed hit and run accident. A male subject’s Ford truck struck another vehicle at this location after he was evicted from the residence. He was located a short time later at 6725 Ringgold Rd unconscious in his vehicle. He was transported to the hospital by EMS due to signs of a narcotics overdose. Warrants were obtained for DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
4214 Ringgold Rd (Mental Health 21-009168):
A mental health consumer requested officers meet him at the East Ridge Police Department as he sought help for his psychological well-being.
4342 Ringgold Rd (Assist Fire 21-009169):
Police were dispatched with Fire and EMS on a possible motorcycle crash. When officers arrived it was learned the bike had not crashed but a passenger had a medical emergency and fell from the motorcycle. She was transported to the hospital by EMS.
4330 Esterbrook Ct (Pedestrian Struck 21-009172):
A male party was struck by a vehicle while walking his dog. He refused transport by EMS electing to go in his personal vehicle.
5300 Ringgold Rd (DUI 21-009179):
John Murphy was taken into custody for DUI during a traffic stop.
3100 Ringgold Rd (Assist Other Agency Warrant Arrest 21-009180):
Christopher Deloney was detained on warrants through Ft Oglethorpe and transported to the jail.
1800 Mack Smith (AOA Warrant 21-009188):
Andrew Wilbourn was detained by East Ridge Police after he failed to stop in TN for a traffic violation. He instead continued into GA where it was learned he had active narcotics warrants through Hamilton County. Ft Ogelthorpe officers arrived and took Wilbourn into custody to await extradition back to Hamilton County.
6514 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-009189):
Kenneth Matthews was taken into custody for driving while suspended and simple possession of marijuana. Matthews also had several active Hamilton County warrants.
