Day Shift July 5
24-008578 -1000 BLK Yale Street – Animal Call – East Ridge Animal Control called to report an ongoing animal issue concerning two dogs. Animal Control provided multiple reports leading up to an incident on 7/5/24 causing a dog to need stitches and sustaining a possible ACL tear after being hit by a vehicle. Police will pursue warrants for animal cruelty.
24-008580-1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive – Theft – Asset Protection called to advise police of a delayed theft. The theft involved a male suspect, middle age, balding, with a gray shirt and blue shorts taking two metal detectors costing $1,699 apiece. Warrants pending identification of the suspect.
24-008573 – 600 BLK North Germantown Road – Shots Fired – While police were enroute to conduct a Ridgeside patrol they observed a male walking in the 600 block of North Germantown Road. The subject discharged a handgun and fled from police on foot into a wooded area near 404 Homes Apartments. Additional East Ridge, Chattanooga, and Hamilton County units responded to the scene. Chattanooga RTIC officers were able to observe the suspect flee southbound out of the apartment complex. Officers saturated the area but did not locate the suspect.
Night Shift July 5
24-008588 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Violation – Police responded to a break-in at the motel. An unknown male was alleged to have a room key and allowed himself into the room along with four other parties and two dogs while the registered guest was away at work. The motel clerk refunded one night’s rent. While interviewing the clerk, police interdicted two parties associated with the incident and discovered illegal narcotics on them. A woman was arrested for Possession of Fentanyl, Possession of Meth, and Drug Paraphernalia.
24-008592 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road – Crash-DUI Arrest – Police observed a tan Nissan Pathfinder enter the parking lot and hit another vehicle. The Nissan Pathfinder continued through the parking lot. Officers contacted the vehicle as it was backing up and struck a parked vehicle. The driver then attempted to pull forward to leave the scene. The driver was stopped and taken into custody.
24-008606 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – SIA – While conducting a foot patrol at the motel a woman was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant out of general sessions.
24-008610 – 3500 BLK-3600 BLK Bennett Road – Armed Subject – An unknown caller reported a male walking with a gun. When asked for a description, the caller disconnected. No answer on call back. A check of the area did not locate anyone walking.
Day Shift July 7
24-008624 – 3800 BLK Ringgold Rd – Burglary of an Auto – The victim reported that his 2015 Ram 1500 had been rummaged through and multiple items were stolen on 07/05/2024 sometime between 0930 and 1930 hours while he was working. He stated he had accidentally left the vehicle unlocked.
Night Shift July 6
24-008635 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Intoxicated Party – Police responded to an intoxicated party. After the suspect consented for a search, police discovered a glass pipe with drug residue. The man was trespassed from the establishment; Proximity Restriction 24-000201. He was arrested for Public Intoxication and Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia.
24-008639 – 5500 BLK Ringgold Road – Intoxicated Person – Police were called to the 5500 block of Ringgold Road on a wellbeing check for a male jumping into traffic. After interacting with the subject he was arrested for Public Intoxication. He was also found to be in possession of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia.
Day Shift July 7
24-008656 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – Police responded on report of a couple of females attempting to steal merchandise. Both were trespassed from the store at the request of staff. One was also found to have an active warrant through Hamilton County for theft. She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
Night Shift July 7
24-008677 – 3600 BLK Fountain Avenue– Residential Fire – Police assisted the Fire Department with a residential fire on the balcony of an apartment.
24-008690 – 1600 BLK Springvale Road – Field Interview – Police observed a female bicyclist without a light after dark. She was negative for warrants. A Field Interview was performed; FI – 24-000132.
24-008695 – Residential Fire – 3600 BLK Phelps Street – A caller advised large flames were coming from the house. Officers responded along with ERFD. Police stood by while ERFD contained the fire and investigated.
Day Shift July 8
24-008703 – 600 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Vehicle Burglary – Police responded after the complainant found the truck bed cover to his Ford F-150 open. He advised approximately $1,700 in miscellaneous tools and an iPad were missing from the vehicle bed. The business was able to provide closed-circuit television surveillance of the incident and upon review of the video, police observed a white Ford Escape occupied by a male park beside the vehicle at approximately 0500hrs. The subject then exited the vehicle and pried the cover open and removed the items from the vehicle. Later this date, officers with the Chattanooga Police Department located the vehicle and the subject in their jurisdiction and placed him into custody. ERPD is following up with charges, as well as investigating links to any other crimes.
Night Shift July 8
24-008735 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder/Warrant Service – Following a disorder, a party was taken into custody for three outstanding warrants through Sessions Court. The arrest warrant charges were Vandalism, Assault, and Burglary. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
24-008746 – 100 BLK Cecil Lane – Residential Fire – Police along with East Ridge Fire Rescue responded to a residential fire on Cecil Lane. Fire personnel forced entry into the adjoining residence to contain the fire. No injuries were reported for the incident.
24-008747 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Driving Under the Influence – A traffic stop was conducted after an automobile nearly struck an ERPD patrol vehicle. The driver was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. Following a Standardized Field Sobriety Test, he was transported to the Hamilton County Jail and charged with DUI.
