Day Shift July 3
24-008458 – 1100 BLK McBrien Road– Harassment – The caller stated he received five disparaging text messages this morning, essentially threatening his life from a phone number he does not know. The resident stated in these messages, the sender states they hope he has enough life insurance because his daughter will be without a father. The resident stated, to the best of my knowledge, he has no enemies who would send such a message. The resident stated he did reply to several of the messages as inquiries but has since blocked the number and was unable to glean additional information as to the motive of the messages. The resident stated he is concerned as he does have a young daughter. ERPD attempted to call the number, but no one answered.
24-008463 – 1300 BLK Spring Creek Road- Criminal Trespass Warning- The church pastor stated there was a male party sleeping on their steps. The man was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning.
24-008468 – 1400 BLK Sunnyfield Lane – Criminal Trespass Warning- A woman requested a Criminal Trespass Warning be issued to her ex-husband. The Proximity Restrictions were entered (re:24-000188).
24-008459 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Backup EMS – Police observed a male sleeping in the grass outside of the police station. The man was only wearing one shoe and did not initially respond when officers tried to wake him up. He woke up shortly after and identified himself. He advised he was possibly having a seizure. EMS was notified, and the party was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
24-008469 – 4300 BLK Lazard Street – Domestic Assault – Police responded to this location after a third-party caller claimed a woman at the address had been assaulted. Police spoke with the woman who claimed the suspect threatened her with a rifle and prevented her from calling for emergency services by withholding her cell phone on the previous evening. Officers asked her to submit a written statement of her account and placed the suspect in custody for aggravated domestic assault and interference with 911.
Night Shift July 3
24-008090 – 7609 Standifer Gap Road – Warrant Service – A man was served with two East Ridge arrest warrants at the Hamilton County Jail. The warrants were for Driving on a Revoked License and Altering a Certificate of Title.
24-008491 – 5400 BLK Connell Street – Suspicious person- The resident stated that someone had been trespassing on his property. He provided pictures of the suspect and Police identified. Officers located the man walking in the 5400 block of Ringgold Road and advised him of the criminal trespass. He stated he understood the trespass requirements. 24-008501– 7609 Standifer Gap Road – Warrant Service – A man was served with an East Ridge arrest warrant at the Hamilton County Jail. The arrest warrant was for Driving on a Suspended License.
24-008506 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop/Warrant Service – Following a traffic stop, a man and woman were taken into custody for multiple warrants out of Sessions Court. The individuals were transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
Day Shift July 4
24-008513 – 1300 BLK South Seminole Drive – Unknown Trouble – A residential phone called 911, but there was only static on the line. Upon checking the residence, no one was home, and no signs of distress were located.
24-008530 – 400 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway, Top Golf – Disorder – A party of 10 people were asked to leave due to bringing in outside alcohol. The manager requested they leave, which they refused. All persons were issued criminal trespass warnings at the request of the manager.
24-008519 – 700 BLK S. Moore Road – Assist Other Agency – A concerned citizen reported a man was on scene at this residence and had a valid warrant for Domestic Assault. Police verified he had a valid Hamilton County Sessions warrant and attempted to contact him. After some negotiation with the family, the man eventually exited the house and transported to the Hamilton County Jail to be served with the warrant.
24-008526- Stateline Road/ Keeble Street- Traffic stop/evading- Police conducted a traffic stop on a yellow moped with a male driver and a female wearing no helmet. The vehicle finally came to a stop on Hollywood Drive and the female passenger exited the moped but would not cooperate with commands. While police were dealing with the unruly passenger, the driver took off on the moped travelling west on State Line Road. The passenger was cited for no helmet and sent on her way.
Night Shift July 4
24-008546 – 6600 BLK Hilton Drive – Aggravated Assault – Police found that a man had approached his neighbors and threatened them with a knife. He was upset over his neighbor’s use of fireworks. The suspect was arrested, charged with aggravated assault, and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without further incident.
24-008534 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Rd – Property Theft – Police responded to a theft of a wallet outside of the restaurant. Video footage provided a possible suspect who was later located on Ealy Road. The suspect stated he found the wallet and placed it in the mailbox at the Post Office so it could be returned to the owner. A report was completed in case the owner finds items stolen from the wallet.
24-008536 – 1500 BLK Waterhouse Street – Vehicle Theft – The caller reported that her 2016 Red Dodge Journey was stolen from outside her residence. She stated she left the keys in her vehicle, and she did not know who took it. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.
24-008549 – 500 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway — Found Property – Police were called to the restaurant for a firearm found unattended in the men’s restroom. The manager on duty secured the firearm in his office until police arrived on scene. The owner has not been identified.
24-008555 – 3400 BLK Gail Drive – Dumpster Fire – Police and Fire Service responded to the report of a dumpster fire at this location. Officers found that a garbage bag full of expended fireworks had triggered a small fire outside of the dumpster. The Fire Department extinguished the fire and the incident appeared to be accidental.
24-008560 – 1300 BLK Greenslake Road – Vehicle Fire – Police and Fire Services responded to a vehicle fire outside of this residence. A 2007 Chevrolet Cavalier was found to be fully engulfed on a trailer in the backyard. The Fire Department extinguished the fire, and the incident is under investigation.
24-008561 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft / Simple Assault – The caller reported an unknown male entered the store and stole a phone charger. He confronted the suspect who attempted to strike the RP with a closed fist. The victim stated he defended himself by striking back. Witnesses provided conflicting information and the suspect has not been identified.
