Day Shift July 24
24-009426 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Well Being Check – Police were dispatched on a report of two to three children being left unattended inside a running vehicle. The vehicle was leaving the scene when the officers arrived. Police spoke with the driver who stated she did not speak English. The children all appeared to be okay.
24-009431 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Property Damage – Police on a report of a vehicle running over a vending machine outside the business. The vending machine was valued at 2000 dollars according to the Coca Cola representative. A property damage report was completed for records.
24-009347 – 5800 BLK Ringgold Road – Supplemental Report, Stolen Vehicle – Police responded in reference to a stolen truck which was returned on 7/22. Police verified that the plate and VIN.
Night Shift July 25
24-009440 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Domestic/AOA – Police responded to this location on reports of a male hitting a female. Upon arrival police spoke to the alleged victim who stated that her ex-husband had grabbed her hair and punched her in the head. She also stated that he fled the scene prior to police arrival. After running the suspect’s name through NCIC, warrants for aggravated assault and other violent felony charges were discovered. After saturating the area of his last known location, he was not located. A short time later another caller advised police that a male had come out of the creek and jumped the fence back into the complex. Officers announced and commanded the suspect to stop, to which the suspect fled into the woods in attempts to evade police. After a short foot pursuit, the male was apprehended and was later identified as the suspect. He was taken into custody for domestic assault and evading arrest.
24-009438 – 1600 BLK Waterhouse Street – Property – Police responded when a white collapsible bicycle was found between a bush and the brick wall along the southwest side of the breezeway. The bicycle was placed in the property room at East Ridge Police Department.
