Day Shift July 20
24-009258- 1200 BLK Wright Street- Animal Call- The caller advised his neighbor has a rooster tied to his back porch. He was asked to contact Animal Control on Monday.
24-009265- 6600 BLK Hilton Drive- Suspicious Activity- The caller advised weird things were happening around her residence. Officers spoke with the caller. She requested an extra patrol in her neighborhood.
24-009272- 1500 BLK Waterhouse Street- Disorder- The caller advised his roommate’s ex-girlfriend was trespassing on the property. Police spoke to everyone on scene. The offending party was issued a criminal trespass warning and advised not to return.
Night Shift July 20
24-009281 – 1500 BLK Rebecca Drive – Disorder – A caller advised there were small children left in a vehicle unattended. When the police arrived, they found the children’s mother on scene and at the vehicle with her children. Other residents at the complex began arguing with the children’s mother. Police asked all parties to avoid contact with each other.
24-009287 – 4500 BLK Pontiac Drive – Animal Call – A caller reported a small puppy left in a cage outside with no water or food. When police arrived, they found the puppy locked in a crate located in the back yard. Officers also observed the puppy had no access to food or water. Police advised the owner to either take proper care of the puppy or get rid of it. She was also advised if the issue was not corrected warrants would be sought for animal abuse and neglect.
24-009291 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Well Being Check – A homeless male was found sleeping behind a gas station on Ringgold Road. He also had a warrant for Trespassing in Catoosa County that was not extraditable.
24-009294 – 1500 BLK Waterhouse Street – Burglary – Police responded to a residence after three juveniles entered a dwelling occupied by three residents and stole two game systems: a VR headset and a PS5 Console w/ remotes. Two of the three suspects were identified. Juvenile attachments will be sought for burglary.
24-009288 — 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – Police responded to contact an individual who took ice from the cooler without paying. Employees advised the individual headed east towards the nursing home and wanted the individual trespassed. Officers located the individual who explained he was looking for a hotel. The male subject appeared slightly agitated and was possibly a mental health consumer. Officers directed him away from the nursing home property and advised he was trespassed from the gas station.
Day Shift July 21
24-009313 – 1400 BLK N Smith St – Found Property – While staff cleaned a room at the inn, a large knife was found inside the toilet. A picture of the knife inside the toilet was shown to police. Neither the picture nor the caller gave police any indication of foul play. The caller wanted the officer to retrieve the knife which had already been removed from the room and placed into a grocery bag. Police entered the knife into ERPD property and evidence.
Night Shift July 21
24-009321 – 400 BLK Donaldson Road– Well Being Check – Police responded to reports of a pedestrian lying in the roadway. The female party said she was watching a piano lesson on her cellphone while resting in a common driveway for apartments. The party was sober and capable of caring for herself. Officers advised her not to lie on roadways. No incident.
24-009322 – 6800 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – Police were dispatched to a disorder between a male and female couple walking east in the 6800 block of Ringgold Road. Police detained both parties in a parking lot until Ft Oglethorpe PD arrived. The woman had a verified Alias Capias warrant out of East Ridge. She was transported to Catoosa County Jail but released by authorities before the warrant was received.
24-009294 – 1500 BLK Waterhouse Street – Supplement – Police were contacted by Catoosa Co Sherriff Deputies who detained juvenile suspects involved in a burglary that occurred in the early morning hours of July 21. Police interviewed all three suspects and obtained the identity of the a previously unidentified suspect involved. Juvenile petitions for three suspects are pending completion.
24-009320 – 300 BLK Dunlap Ave – Shots Fired – Patrol officers along with Crime Suppression Investigators responded to Dunlap Ave regarding multiple calls for shots fired. Upon arrival a large amount of different caliber shell casings was located in the northern parking lot of the complex. Two vehicles and one apartment appeared to have bullet impacts from the exchange of gunfire. On-call CID was notified and responded to the scene. Approximately 45 expended rounds were recovered from the parking lot of the complex. The incident is pending further investigation by CID for possible suspects.
