The following information was compiled from “pass along” reports furnished by the East Ridge Police Department.
July 16 Day Shift
3812 Altamira Drive:
Police responded to an assault at a group home involving two (2) mental health consumers and two (2) direct support staff members. One of the subjects became upset when he was not allowed to have a snack and attempted to force the situation. One fellow patient and both staff members were physically assaulted during this process. The assailant was taken to the hospital and Crisis Response was notified of the situation.
4214 Ringgold Road:
Shunica Ramsey came to the police department to turn herself in on a warrant. She was served with an East Ridge warrant for aggravated domestic assault and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
924 Spring Creek Road:
Police responded to a suspicious person call regarding someone that was seen sleeping by a dumpster. Police encountered a man who stated that he is homeless and decided to rest by the dumpster before he walked to the American Job Center. He was checked for warrants and then given a ride to his intended location.
784 Flinn Drive:
The complainant reported the theft of his identity, which resulted in the opening of three (3) fraudulent accounts in his name. The victim stated that the fraudulent activity started last year, but he had only recently learned of the issue and needed a police report to remedy the fraudulent accounts.

Night Shift
3605 Helen Lane:
A caller stated that a man wearing long shorts, a t-shirt with no sleeves, a hat and a backpack, walked up her driveway and turned her side house door handle. She said the man then walked across the street to the neighbor’s house and did the same thing before walking out of view of her camera. Police searched the area and located a man, later identified as William Henry, that matched the exact description given. He was located at the corner of John Ross Road and Frederick Drive. He had confirmed warrants out of Bradley County for sexual battery and aggravated sexual battery.
201 Eads Street:
Police responded to this location regarding a pedestrian struck. The pedestrian was a child.
1410 North Mack Smith Road:
Police responded to this location for an unknown 911 call. It was discovered that there was not an emergency and a child had been playing on the phone.
5005 Fike Drive:
The resident reported that Jose Edgardo Isaguirre Vetancur assaulted her with a wooden board and broke her phone.
4222 Ringgold Road:
Police observed a gold Jeep Wrangler playing loud music in the Speedway parking lot and a man inside the Jeep was yelling at a nearby vehicle. Police identified the man as Gage Hahn. Mr. Hahn told police that he was trying to impress several women in the other vehicle. Police provided Hahn with a written warning for violating the city noise ordinance and explained the Tennessee code for disorderly conduct.
5910 Ringgold Road:
A Groome’s Transportation driver reported that a man jumped out at his van while he it was passing by the East Ridge Bicycle Shop. The driver was unsure if the man was hit but later saw him walking toward Springvale Road. Police searched the area but did not locate the man. No damage was found on the transport van that would be consistent with having struck a person.
6514 Ringgold Road:
A Mapco employee reported that an older man stole three (3) packs of Skittles by placing them in his front pocket and walking out the front door. The employee confronted the man before he departed. According to the Mapco employee, the man then threatened to come back with a gun and shoot up the place. The man then walked away from the scene. Police were unable to locate or identify the suspect.
3700 Ringgold Road:
Christopher Breedlove was arrested on two (2) Hamilton County warrants.
4114 Ringgold Road:
Gerald Scott Casteel Jr., was arrested for driving under the influence and driving while revoked.
4222 Ringgold Road:
Joseph Burt was arrested for driving under the influence and implied consent after he drove his car onto the sidewalk of the Speedway convenience store.
4214 Ringgold Road:
Randall Keeton was arrested on an East Ridge warrant. Hamilton County transported Mr. Keeton to the jail.
1125 McBrien Road:
Tomas Miguel stated that he had two (2) friends over. Jean Solace was the name of one of the friends. The other friend is a man that Mr. Miguel could not identify. Mr. Miguel said that one of the men brandished a firearm and fired a round in the backyard. Mr. Miguel stated that his mother advised that his friends needed to leave. Mr. Miguel said that they refused to leave and then a fight broke out between he and his friends. Mr. Miguel had scratched on his face but refused medical attention. Mr. Miguel said that both subjects left when he told them he called police. The subjects were seen leaving in a red Mustang and a white Mercedes. Mr. Miguel said that he did not want to press charges for the assault.
4222 Ringgold Road:
Victor Lopez was arrested at this location for public intoxication.
