Day Shift July 12
23-008695- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road- Domestic Assault- The victim reported her boyfriend choked her (restricting her breathing), beat her, drug her by the hair of her head, broke her phone to prevent her calling 911 and prevented her from leaving the room. The suspect left the scene taking the victim’s wallet and car key as he fled prior to police arrival. Warrants have been issued.
23-008697- 4100 BLK Ringgold Road- Shoplifting- The caller advised a female in a pink shirt took items from the store and left. On scene police checked the surrounding neighborhood but the unknown female was not located.
23-008705- 5300 BLK Spriggs Street- Lost Property- The caller wished to report his firearm missing. He advised he had lent his Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm semiautomatic handgun to his sister in early August 2022. He explained after his sister brandished the gun at a possible intruder, she threw the pistol away in the city-issued trash can out of fear. Due to the significant time delay and the unique circumstances the firearm was not entered in NCIC.
23-008715- 100 I-75 North- Traffic Crash/DUI Arrest- A man was arrested and charged with DUI during a crash investigation.
Night Shift July 12
23-008722 – 400 BLK McBrien Road – Unlawful Photography Invasion of Privacy – Police were dispatched after a male subject was discovered to be taking obscene pictures of a female. A BOLO was sent to Catoosa and Walker County regarding the suspect and suspect vehicle.
23-008725 – 5400 BLK Ringgold Road – Intoxicated person- Police responded to this location regarding a male possibly intoxicated. He was taken into custody for Public Intoxication.
23-008730-5400 BLK Connell Street-Vandalism/Arrest- Police responded to this location for an unruly juvenile punching holes in the house’s walls. The child’s mother wanted to press charges against her son. The juvenile was placed into custody with no issues.
23-008731 – 100 BLK John Arnold Street – Vehicle Pursuit – Police engaged in a vehicle pursuit after a stolen vehicle initially struck a patrol vehicle. A man was taken into custody by HCSO deputies following the pursuit. East Ridge warrants are pending.
23-008737—6500 BLK Ringgold Road—Suspicious Person- Police responded to this area for a male with buzzed hair cut wearing a green shirt and silk-like shorts messing with the doors to the closed business. The suspect was not on scene at the time of police arrival. All doors were checked and secured.
