Day Shift January 25
24-001049- 3600 BLK Ringgold Road- Shoplifting- The caller advised a female with an umbrella attempted to leave the store with items. The female left the area before police arrival.
Night Shift January 25
24-001082 – 6200 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder w/ Weapon – A man was accused of pulling a handgun on another motorist during high traffic conditions on Ringgold Road. Two victims provided written statements of the allegation. The vehicle the accused was riding in had two years expired tags and was impounded to be searched for the firearm. The firearm was located and identified as stolen. Warrants are being taken against the suspects involved.
Day Shift January 26
24-001096 – 3600 BLK Fountain Avenue – Traffic Stop – A traffic stop was performed in the 3600 block of Fountain Avenue. Upon initial contact, ERPD smelled the odor of marijuana. The driver stated he had smoked marijuana the night before and was still wearing the same clothes, but there was no marijuana in the vehicle. He was asked to step out of the vehicle and the vehicle was searched based on the odor of marijuana. Upon a search of his person, a small amount of marijuana (approximately ¼ oz) was found. A loaded semiautomatic Glock handgun was found between the front seats in easy grasp of the driver. The handgun was loaded and chambered. The suspect was 20 years old, underage for possession of a handgun. He was cited for simple possession of Schedule VI and unlawful possession of a firearm.
24-001095 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Rd Unit – Burglary – The caller claimed he discovered his storage unit at Public unsecured and burglarized, along with several antiques and collectibles missing. He claimed he had not visited the unit in several weeks, however, the facility had information that proved otherwise.
Night Shift January 26
24-001128 – Ringgold Road @ South Moore Road – Vehicle Crash / Recovered narcotics & Firearms – Police observed two vehicles in a road rage incident around the 4100 block of Ringgold Road. When police caught up with the vehicles and initiated a traffic stop, a white sedan fled at a high rate of speed north on South Moore Road. A Blue Toyota 4Runner also fled turning South on South Moore Road, however it crashed making the turn and flipped on its side. Inside were four juveniles and one adult. Police located three firearms and narcotics in the vehicle. A CSU Investigator responded to interview all parties. Police were unable to contact the owner of the vehicle. Charges on all parties involved are pending at this time.
24-001124- 900 BLK S Seminole Drive- Domestic Assault – Police responded to a disorder at this location. Upon further investigation, one party was arrested for domestic assault after police determined he struck a woman’s phone from her hand.
Day Shift January 27
24-001152- 3200 BLK Navajo Drive- Disorder- Police were called due to a party calling in on a 911 only phone arguing with someone in the background. Police observed a red pickup truck in the bottom parking lot of this address and observed two parties arguing. Once officers were able to get turned around the male party was gone. A woman was arrested for an East Ridge warrant for domestic assault. The other party was found to have active criminal court warrants for aggravated burglary.
Night Shift January 27
24-001155 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / DUI – Following a traffic stop at this location a woman was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, roadways laned for traffic, reckless endangerment, and possession firearm under the influence. She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
Day Shift January 28
24-001177—6400 BLK Ringgold Road—DUI – Following a call regarding a reckless driver, a woman was taken into custody and charged with Driving Under the Influence. She was taken to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-001189- 3200 BLK Navajo Drive- Warrant Service- Police attempted to serve a warrant for aggravated burglary on a man who is living in the woods behind the church. He fled on foot from officers through the woods. He was not located.
Night Shift January 28
24-001197 – 100 I-75 North – Assist Other Agency – ERPD assisted Catoosa County SO in a vehicle pursuit after they crossed into Tennessee on I-75 North. The pursuit continued to I-24 West where ERPD disengaged due to CPD units getting involved. Dispatched advised of new information and circumstances of pursuit and ERPD rejoined after the suspect turned around came back I-24 East. ERPD disengaged once again when HCSO joined Catoosa and CPD with multiple units. The pursuit ended on I-75 N around exit 11.
24-001198 – 4100 BLK East Ridge Drive – Burglary in Progress – Officers responded to this address in reference to a burglary in progress. Officers spoke with the reporting party who advised officers she heard a knock on her bedroom window. Officers investigated the area and were unable to locate any unwelcome party at the residence or signs of entry.
24-001191 – 3300 BLK Navajo Drive – Assist Other Agency /Shots Fired – East Ridge Police were checking a wooded area for a burglary suspect when they heard approximately 10 shots fired east of their location. ERPD responded to 3300 Navajo Drive and located several spent 9mm shell casings. ERPD secured the scene for Chattanooga PD and assisted in collecting witness information. The gunshots were most likely from one to two cars driving through the area.
Day Shift January 29
24-001203- 6600 BLK Ringgold Road- Auto Theft Recovery/Warrant Service- Officers recovered a vehicle reported stolen out of Catoosa County this morning. During the investigation police spoke with a female. She was found to have three East Ridge warrants. She was arrested and transported to jail. The vehicle was removed from NCIC.
24-001209- 1000 BLK John Ross Road- Vehicle Crash/DUI Arrest/Warrant Service- A man was arrested and charged with DUI following a traffic crash at this location. He was also served with an East Ridge warrant.
24-001211- 1500 BLK Maxwell Road- Deceptive Practice- The victim arrived at police headquarters to report a check that had been stolen and changed to a different amount. She stated a check for Wastewater Treatment Authority (WWTA) was placed in the blue mailbox at East Ridge Post Office branch on 11/1/2023. The check was for $35.58. The unknown suspect changed the amount to $5000 under the person’s name and an account number was placed on the check. No confirmed suspect information at the time of report.
Night Shift January 29
24-001232 – 5700 BLK Roper Street – Arrest-Domestic – Police respond to a disorder involving a male and female yelling. The man was arrested for Domestic Assault and False Imprisonment against the female.
24-001242 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder w/ a Weapon – The caller reported being threatened with a gun by two males in a gray Chrysler. The vehicle was located on Ringgold Road but fled north bound on Spring Creek Road. Police did not pursue the vehicle.
