Day Shift December 29
23-016481- 1100 BLK S. Seminole Drive- Suspicious Activity- The caller reported hearing male voices outside her rear bedroom window at approximately 2330hrs on the previous evening. She believes there is foot traffic that comes from S. Seminole Dr to Chippewah Dr during the evening hours. Police observed possible footprints at a rear gate that opens to the backyard of a home on Chippewah Dr, which is adjacent to a residence that police have responded to on previous occasions for narcotics violations and disorders. Her home was placed on the watch list.
23-016492- 4500 BLK Bennett Road- Disorder- ERPD was dispatched to this address for a disorder. The resident advised a man had overstayed his welcome after attempting to attack the caller’s girlfriend. Both parties refused to press charges. The offending party was told to leave the property and was criminally trespassed.
Night Shift December 29
23-016496 – 700 BLK S. Moore Road – Domestic Assault – Police responded to this address referencing an assault in progress between a man and his younger brother. The suspect punched, choked, and slammed the juvenile into multiple surfaces causing marks and injuries on his neck and face. He was taken into custody for Aggravated Domestic Assault.
23-016505 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / DUI – Following a traffic stop at this location a man was taken into custody for driving under the influence. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
23-016508—3300 BLK Shadowland Drive—Misc. Info – The caller reported that three males pushed in his door while he was at home. He stated that he yelled at the males, and they left the residence. Police determined the caller was intoxicated. Police did not locate the three suspects and found no damage on the door.
23-016512—3600 BLK Ringgold Road—Assist Other Agency – Police responded to a disorder but found that the altercation occurred in Chattanooga. While speaking with the parties, police observed it was a verbal-only confrontation. One subject was found to have two active warrants through Hamilton County. He was placed in custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
23-016511 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Rd – Possession / Warrant Service – Police observed a woman exit a vehicle and walk into the hotel lobby. Police were able to confirm a warrant from Walker County for possession of methamphetamine. Upon speaking to the occupants of the car police observed the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The search yielded 4 grams of meth, 9 grams of Marijuana, and multiple drug paraphernalia items. A man in the car was charged with the narcotics.
Day Shift December 30
23-016525 – 1 BLK Cecil Ln- Residential Fire- ERPD and ERFD were dispatched on an apartment fire due to a malfunctioning HVAC system. All occupants were evacuated, and no structural damage was found.
23-016517 – 1300 BLK St. Thomas St – Arrest- A man was taken into custody off St. Thomas Street after he was found inside the wood line urban camping. He was taken into custody for misuse of 911 after verifying he falsely called 911 eight times the night before and 23 times total In December.
23-016526 – 5700 BLK Ringgold Road – Animal Call- A woman was found urban camping behind this location in the woods. She had a dog tied up outside her tent to a tree. The dog’s lead was wrapped around the tree preventing it from moving more than a foot and the lead was wrapped around the dog’s neck very tight. The dog’s health was poor and did not have access to food and water. It was obvious she was not taking the necessary care for the animal. East Ridge Animal Services took the dog to their facility. Warrants are being sought for animal cruelty.
Night Shift December 30
23-016537 – 400 BLK Donaldson Road – Vehicle Theft – Police spoke with the caller about the Grandson’s white 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo that was last seen around 1600 hours on this date. She stated that parties who had a key to the vehicle had taken it. The registered owner is currently incarcerated at the Hamilton County Jail. Police were able to speak to him and were able to confirm that the car had been stolen. Warrants will be sought upon identification of the two suspects for vehicle theft.
23-016545 – 3800 BLK Ringgold Road – Fight – Police witnessed males fighting on the sidewalk. One was arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
23-016534 – 400 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Disorder – Police responded to the Parkridge Emergency Room after the staff complained of a male running through the hallway and refusing medical treatment. He was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct.
Day Shift December 31
23-016553- 5300 BLK Ringgold Road- Arrest – Following a traffic stop at this location, a man was taken into custody for possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, and possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
23-016556- 6500 BLK Ringgold Rd.- Mental Health- Police were dispatched to this location on a party cutting himself. Upon arrival police discovered a man in the parking lot carving on his arm with a pocketknife. He claimed he attempted to complete a tattoo. He was transported at his request for a mental health evaluation.
23-016563- S Seminole/ Ringgold Road and S Seminole/Bimini Place – Hit and Run Crashes- Police responded to a call of a hit and run on S Seminole and Ringgold Road. Police have identified the vehicle as a White 2008 Nissan Pathfinder. It was last seen going East on Ringgold Rd. No suspect has been identified at this time.
Night Shift December 31
24-000011 – 5300 BLK Clemons Road – Suspicious Person – Police responded to this area regarding a person banging on the door of a home screaming he was cold. Upon arrival, police discovered it to be a neighbor experiencing a diabetic emergency. The male was treated by EMS and transported.
24-000003 – 1400 BLK Dover Lane – Shots Fired – Police responded to this address following a report of a male party exiting the residence and firing a pistol into the ground multiple times. Police spoke to the tenants of the apartment but were unable to identify the shooter. All tenants were advised of the laws regarding discharging a weapon in the city limits.
24-000005 – 300 BLK Scruggs Road – Traffic Stop / DUI – A woman was taken into custody following a traffic stop at this location. She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail and charged with driving under the influence as well as multiple traffic violations.
24-000002 – 3600 BLK Foutain Avenue – Shots Fired – Police were called regarding shots fired in the parking lot. Police located multiple shell casings from different caliber firearms. CSU responded to the scene to collect shell casings and investigate.
23-016573 – 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road. – Animal Cruelty – Officers responded in reference to a water leak. Officers soon discovered two dogs were locked in the bathroom, standing in scalding hot water they turned on. Officers rescued the animals, placed the dogs into East Ridge Animal Services, and cited the owner for animal cruelty.
23-016577 – 6600 BLK Hilton Drive – Disorder – Officers responded to this address after a 911 call and located an intoxicated male attempting to steal a lawnmower. Officers took the male into custody after a short scuffle and transported him to the Hamilton County Jail without further incident.
24-000009 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road. – Assault – Officers responded to this address after a male and female assaulted a female. Before police arrival, the parties left in a blue Hyundai Tucson. Officers are seeking warrants on the parties once identified.
23-016569 – 3700 BLK Edwards Terrace – Deceptive Practice – The caller stated that an unknown male, posing as a Sheriff’s Deputy, called her and said she missed Jury Duty. The suspect then instructed her to go to a Kiosk on Georgia Ave to pay a fine, or she would be arrested the following morning. She rightly recognized the call as a scam and called the police. No money was lost in the fraud attempt.
23-016574 – 5700 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / DUI – A man was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence after his vehicle was observed swerving on Ringgold Road.
Day Shift January 1
No number assigned- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road- Citizen Assist- A man called and requested a ride to the community kitchen. Due to the cold weather, he was given a courtesy ride.
24-000022- 3600 BLK Anderson Avenue- Theft- Officers spoke with the complainant who advised sometime between the morning of 12/28/2023 and 1600 hours on 12/29/2023 someone stole his Taurus G3C handgun. The victim reported an employee from an HVAC company was in his residence working on the system and was seen going into the bedroom where the firearm had been stored. The victim stated that while in the bedroom the employee mentioned he was looking for a vent. Besides himself, his wife, and the HVAC worker, no one else had been inside the residence. The firearm was entered in NCIC as stolen.
24-000023- 900 BLK Donaldson Road- Back Fire- Police responded with ERFD on a possible dumpster fire at this location. On scene officers stood by while ERFD handled the call.
Night Shift January 1
24-000034 – 3500 BLK Pinellas Lane – Theft – The victim called and stated that his bag that was left in a vehicle was taken some time during the night or morning of New Years. In the bag was a Taurus G3 9mm, cologne, and some clothes. He stated that everything stolen was worth approximately $465.
24-000039 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Pkwy – Shots Fired – Police responded to Camp Jordan for a shots-fired complaint. Nothing was in the area the caller claimed to hear shots being fired. Police conducted additional patrol in this area throughout the rest of the shift.
24-000044 – 1600 BLK S. Seminole – Shots Fired – Reporting party called and stated she thought she heard one gunshot. Police checked the area and located nothing.
