Day Shift January 16
24-000648- 1900 BLK Honeycut Lane- Fraud- The caller reported being the victim of a phishing scam through a link he clicked on a Twitter post. While he originally recognized the website as a familiar crypto website, he later discovered the link he clicked redirected him to a phishing website which was a clone of the website he was familiar with. Between the hours of 12 noon on 1/15/24 and 10PM on 1/15/24 after accessing the phishing site he noticed approximately $8,000 in total crypto currency had been taken from his crypto account. There are currently no suspects.
24-000652- 1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive- Shoplifting/AOA Warrant Service- The caller advised a male, and two females were shoplifting. On scene police spoke with the suspects who were sitting in a Black Jeep Grand Cherokee. According to the Loss Prevention staff one party entered the store and stole multiple clothing items. The two women were also detained but had no items in their possession. They were released from custody. All parties were trespassed from business. The stolen property that was recovered was returned to the store. The man was also found to have a Hamilton County warrant.
24-000662- 1600 BLK Glowmont Drive- Delayed Assault- The caller stated on this date she was with her friend when she was assaulted by his brother. She stated during an argument the suspect pushed her causing her to fall and slam her head into a door. She denied any need for medical treatment. Due to this report being over the phone, police were unable determine the factuality of this assault.
Night Shift January 16
24-000673 – 600 BLK Sweetbriar Avenue – Field Interview – Field Interview conducted on a party who was walking around the report of a suspicious male party checking car doors. He did not match the description of the suspicious party.
24-000684 – 900 BLK S. Seminole Drive– Disorder – A female called reporting someone destroying her stuff. A female yelled and cussed at officer through the door to go away. No further action.
