Day Shift January 9
24-000340 – I24W – Well Being Check- A homeless male was observed by passing motorists walking on the side of the interstate. He stated this was his last trip to gather his belongings. He was escorted off the interstate.
24-000344 – 800 BLK S Germantown Road – Burglar Alarm- High winds caused a burglar alarm activation at this business by opening an improperly secured door. The business was checked, no nefarious activity detected, and the door was properly secured.
24-000343-4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft Recovery- A woman had her cell phone stolen in Chattanooga this morning. She tracked it to this location which turned out to be a cell phone kiosk that pays out cash for phones. Police were able to recover the phone from the kiosk. Kiosk management stated they would send any information they had regarding the transaction.
24-000346– Belvoir Ave / Ringgold Rd– Well Being Check – A caller observed an elderly male walking in pajamas, a shirt and no shoes. They wanted to make sure he was well. The party was not located.
24-000337 – 1600 BLK Key West Avenue – Warrant Service – Police responded to this residence after the Tennessee Department of Corrections advised they were on scene with a party with East Ridge Police and Hamilton County warrants. The East Ridge warrants were verified, and the woman was transported to jail.
24-000347 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Missing Adult Not Endangered – A party called from Florida to report her niece missing after not receiving any communication from her since some time in November 2023. The complainant stated the lack of communication was not normal and she was concerned for her well-being. The caller stated the woman was homeless and known to be in the company of a man; however, when she contacted him he claimed he had not spoken with her since November 17, 2023.
Night Shift January 9
24-000368 –1600 BLK Keeble Street – Overdose – Police responded to an overdose at this address and found a man unresponsive in the doorway of a camper behind the residence. Police initiated CPR and dispensed one dose of Narcan prior to the arrival of EMS. He was transported for medical care.
24-000356 – 1700 BLK Heather Street – Suspicious Activity – A suspicious gray Dodge Charger was reported driving back and forth through the area. The reporting party stated it was also seen on Burr Street. Police checked the area, but the vehicle was not located.
24-000364 – 500 BLK S. Germantown Road – Burglary Alarm / Field Interview – Officers responded to this address in reference to a business alarm. While investigating, officers observed a male walking in proximity to the business. Officers interviewed the male and after being told 3-5 different names and dates of birth, officers finally identified the man. Officers were unable to locate any damage to the business and observed all entrances and windows to be secured. He was released and sent on his way.
24-000370 – 3700 BLK Fountain Avenue – Disorder – Police responded to this location after a neighbor called 911 advising her neighbor had been calling out for help. Officers spoke with the victim and were advised her boyfriend had entered her home and was pushing her around. The victim advised officers she pushed him out of the home and the boyfriend left. Officers observed no markings on the victim. The victim advised officers that she was very intoxicated.
24-000355- 900 BLK Spring Creek Road -Disorder- Police were called for a disorder. Upon arrival police located the suspect. She was yelling and causing a verbal disturbance. The woman was verbally abusing staff and exposing herself to ER staff and patients in the emergency room while in the halls. She was arrested for disorderly conduct and transported to The Hamilton County Jail.
24-000358 – 2100 BLK Wren Road – Residential Fire – Police responded to a residence reportedly on fire. Upon arrival, police observed an active fire inside of the residence and dense smoke inside. Police forced entry and attempted to clear the residence, but the smoke was too heavy. ERFD cleared the residence and ensured no one was inside.
