The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along” reports.
Jan 7 Day Shift
3408 Ten Oaks Drive- Theft-
Upon arrival police spoke with the complainant. He advised sometime between 1500 hours 1-3 and 0805 hours on 1-6 unknown suspects took a portable cement mixer from his job site. The victim described the mixer as a Stone, 2.5 bag model, orange in color. The frame of the mixer had oversized tires on it, but one of the tires was flat. It possessed a new 6 HP Honda motor with a missing engine cover.
6300 Ringgold Road (Krystal)- Unconscious Person-
The caller advised of a white female passed out in a vehicle in the parking lot. Upon arrival the female was found to be sleeping. She was sent on her way.
6674 Ringgold Road (Rodeway Inn/OYO)- Stolen Tag Recovery/AOA Warrant Service-
While on patrol police observed a gold GMC Envoy parked at the motel. An information check revealed the registration plate displayed on the Envoy, TN 3S00P5, had been reported stolen through the Soddy Daisy Police Department. Contact was made with parties in room 185, Erica W. and Craig Sanborn. The room was identified by motel staff to be associated with the vehicle. Erica stated the vehicle belonged to her but did not have knowledge of how the tag was placed on the vehicle. An information check was conducted on Erica W. and Sanborn. Sanborn was found to have active warrants through Catoosa County. The tag was removed from the vehicle and NCIC. It was placed into East Ridge Property and Evidence. Sanborn was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
3100 Ringgold Road- Failure to Obey Traffic Control-
An eighteen-wheeler wedged himself in the tunnel today causing a traffic snarl lasting more than an hour. TDOT responded to assess the damage. Several citations were issued to other drivers disregarding police in the roadway. The damage report was completed by CPD as the truck had damaged their side of the tunnel.
3511 Ringgold Road (R&R Tires)- Hit and Run Crash/AOA Warrant Service-
Christopher Coleman was detained on Hamilton County warrants and transported to 601 following a hit and run crash where he was the victim. The suspect vehicle in the crash was a silver Dodge Ram pickup TN 7M05R5. The investigation is ongoing.
3707 Wiley Avenue- AOA/Open Door-
City code enforcement requested police assistance in clearing the vacant house at this address after finding an open door. Upon arrival police attempted to clear the house but were met with an enormous amount of trash throughout the entire structure. Officers checked as much as they could but backed out due to hazardous conditions. Code enforcement documented the scene.
I-24 East @ Moore Road-
An eighteen-wheeler with an oversized load struck the Moore Road bridge and caused tremendous damage to the underside supports. TDOT has shut down I-24 East and the Moore Road bridge until sometime tomorrow while they make repairs.

Night Shift
1517 Tombras Avenue / Warrant Service:
Haley Marshall surrendered herself to custody for an outstanding warrant. Police processed her PTR revoking probation for possession of drug paraphernalia then released her on an OR Bond.
3936 Ringgold Rd / Suspicious Activity:
Police were called to this location in reference to the caller seeing a man and woman walking on the side of the Ringgold Road pushing a lawnmower. Upon arrival, police made contact with the couple pushing a Greenworks lawnmower. The man stated he bought the lawnmower from a friend on 4th Avenue in Chattanooga earlier in the day for fifty dollars.He went on to say he and his girlfriend were walking from the same friend’s house to 1589 Roach Hollow Rd in Ringgold, Ga, where they live. The Greenworks lawnmower was brand new and still had tags on it. Police ran the serial number (GWY0530412) to see if it was reported stolen. The lawnmower was not reported stolen. A field interview was done.
3100 Old Ringgold Road / Hit and Run:
Patty Mitchell was taken into custody at 3514 Pinellas Lane following a hit and run. She was charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, driving while unlicensed, and disorderly conduct.
941 Spring Creek Road / Animal Call:
When a member of the janitorial staff attempted to take the garbage to the trash compactor, a raccoon jumped from the dumpster and attached to his face. He suffered bite wound on his face and claw marks on his arms. Police assisted in a search for the raccoon at the request of animal services but were not able to locate the animal.
