Day Shift January 4
24-000147 – 1500 BLK Maxwell Road, East Ridge Post Office – Theft, Forged Check – The caller stated on 11/07/2023 he mailed a bill, using the return envelope, to pay a bill to the Wastewater Treatment Authority (WWTA), for $35.59 at the East Ridge Post Office. He does not remember whether he used the outside or inside maildrop. He stated the check was intercepted, altered and online deposited for $4,200 to a party’s account.
24-000152 – 1500 BLK Maxwell Road, East Ridge Post Office – Theft, Forged Check – The victim stated on or about 11/07/2023 she mailed a bill, using the return envelope, to pay a bill to the Wastewater Treatment Authority (WWTA), for $44.10 at the East Ridge Post Office. She used the outside mail drop. She stated the check was intercepted, altered, and on-line deposited for $2,000 to a business account. She was asked to report the incident to the Postal Inspector.
24-000156- 4300 BLK Ringgold Road- Harassing Threats- The complainant reported a person called in upset due to his friend getting denied for a loan. The suspect stated to her that he would come to the business and shoot her in the head and to take it as a threat.
24-000154 – 3800 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – While checking business officers located a man lurking behind the building. He had previously been found living behind the building. An information check revealed a probation violation warrant through Walker County but they did not wish to have him arrested.
24-000134 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road- Criminal Trespass Warning – A man and his daughter were issued Criminal Trespass Warning at the request of staff for being disruptive and verbally abusive to the hospital staff.
24 -000149 – 1200 BLK S. Seminole Dr – Disorder Prevention – Police accompanied the complainant to retrieve her belongings from this location. According to her, she has an order of protection that has yet to be served. The party retrieved her items without incident.
Night Shift January 4
24-000181 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road. – Suspicious Person / Trespass / Warrant Service – Police responded to this location after the worker called police advising a woman on scene had previously been trespassed. Officers were unable to locate a current proximity restriction but did locate an Alias Capias out of East Ridge for driving on a revoked license. Officers transported her to the jail without further incident.
24-000166 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop – Following a traffic stop at this location a woman was found to have an outstanding warrant out of the Catoosa County Sherriff’s Office. She was transported to The Hamilton County Jail without incident. Catoosa County Sherriff’s Office failed to send the necessary paperwork for her to be transferred into the custody of the Hamilton County Jail within a reasonable time. She was released from custody and transported to her residence. Miscellaneous report on file.
