Day Shift January 21: Alpha Squad
25-000751 – 3400 BLK Bennett Road– Check Wellbeing – Police were dispatched to this address to check on a party after she called her friend earlier in the morning, and the friend overheard arguing in the background. The friend then sent a text to check on her and did not receive a response. Police were unable to contact anyone in the residence.
25-000754 – 1300 BLK Orlando Avenue – Deceptive Practice – A man reported that he received a call from an “Alfred Tully” who identified himself as a Deputy with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. “Tully” instructed the resident to report to Market Street immediately, as he was late for jury duty. The RP recognized the call as a scam and hung up the phone.
25-000752 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Road – Harassment – Police were called on a report of harassment by one of their employees. The caller told police his ex-girlfriend had send hundreds of threatening texts and emails which escalating into calling his workplace 58 times over the past few days.
25-000756 – ERPD Lobby – Deceptive Practice – Police met the complainant in the police lobby to take a report of being scammed via mobile deposit. The party told police his grandson inadvertently deposited a check from an unknown party into their joint bank account and then sent the unknown party gift cards totaling $2,300. During the interview it was determined that the victim was a resident of Rossville and therefore advised to contact the police in his jurisdiction to file a report.
25-000761 – 4400 BLK Ringgold Road – Harassment – Police responded regarding a harassment complaint. An employee was advised by a co-worker that known female suspect made threats to “jump her in the parking lot after work.” The complainant requested extra patrol in the area around closing time. The owner of the store wished to trespass the suspect and was advised to call ERPD in the event she returns.
25-000746-1600 BLK Heather St.- Suspicious Person – Police responded to this address on reports of someone trying to enter the residence. Officers located the potential suspect who advised she was attempting to locate her stepbrother. After the neighbors advised her no one by the name given lived at the address, she left. Police spoke with the neighbors who advised they saw the woman attempt to take a bicycle. She was checked for warrants and sent on her way.
Night Shift January 21: Charlie Squad
25-000775 – 3980 Ringgold Road – Theft – The caller reported her cell phone was stolen from a local business. The phone was tracked to a restaurant in Ringgold, GA. The Ringgold Police Department was attempting to help locate her phone. A theft report was completed.
25-000782 – 500 BLK Wando Drive – Burglary in Progress – Police were called to the above address for a Burglary in Progress. The RP stated she heard a loud sound and believed someone was attempting to enter her house. Officers did not locate anyone or anything on scene and suspect the party to be a Mental Health Consumer based off previous interactions.
25-000781 – 1500 BLK Karwill Lane – Noise/Suspicious Activity – Police responded to this location for a vehicle alarm going off, and the RP feared the vehicle was “going to explode.” On scene Police located a Gold F-150 with a malfunctioning vehicle horn. Officers attempted contact with the registered owner; however, the horn stopped on its own. No contact was made, nor did the truck spontaneously blow up.
25-000778 – 1600 BLK Truman Avenue – Disorder Prevention – Police responded to this location after the homeowner returned to their residence to find they had collected a misplaced package by mistake. The package was returned to the rightful owner who had contacted ERPD prior in the day in reference to retrieving their package.
