Day Shift January 12
24-000494 – 3900 BLK Ringgold Road – Prescription Fraud – The pharmacy reported being bombarded with electronic prescriptions and a male party arriving to pick them up. Police contacted the man in the lobby of the pharmacy. He was arrested and charged with prescription fraud, possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
24-000468 – Ringgold Road/S. Sanctuary – Suspicious Person- Police were called to this location for a male with his face covered and carrying a large firearm. Officers checked the area but did not locate anything.
24-000491- 1200 BLK S. Seminole Drive – Disorder – An extremely intoxicated woman reported another woman stepped on her causing bruising to her right leg. A witness stated the caller was intoxicated the prior night and fell causing the bruising.
24-000473 – 6112 Shallowford Rd – Warrant Service – Police responded to Office of Probation and Parole to take a man into custody on valid East Ridge Police Department warrants. He was transported to jail where he was served with the warrants and booked.
Night Shift January 12
24-000511 – 500 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Disorder with a weapon – Police responded to this location referencing a verbal argument between two men. A knife was allegedly brandished during the argument. Police are awaiting video footage to determine charges.
24-000503 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Drug Overdose – Police responded to assist EMS/Fire with a drug overdose inside of the gas station. Police assisted with loading the female patient into the ambulance.
24-000518- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Assist Other Agency / Warrant Service – A man was arrested on an active Contempt of court warrant out of Fort Oglethorpe, GA. Payne was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-000519 – 1500 BLK McDonald Road – Assist Fire / EMS – Police responded regarding CPR in progress. Police assisted Fire and EMS and the patient was transported to the hospital.
Day Shift January 13
24-000527 – 3400 BLK Gail Drive– Domestic Assault – Officers responded to a report of a juvenile male who was being disorderly and disruptive in his home. Police learned the juvenile had assaulted his mother and vandalized their apartment. He was taken into custody and transported to juvenile detention.
24-000533 – 1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive – Theft – Police responded to a theft in progress. The reporting party stated a male and female team were attempting to steal a large quantity of ammunition. Officers contacted two female parties in the parking lot and observed several boxes of ammunition in the vehicle they were in. Police also contacted the male as he was exiting the store. The male refused officers orders to stop and attempted to flee. He was eventually taken into custody after a scuffle. He had approximately $500 worth of ammunition on his person and had left a cart with approximately $1,700 worth of ammunition in the store. The man was taken into custody charged with theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, conspiracy and resisting arrest. The two women were arrested and charged with conspiracy, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft.
Night Shift January 13
24-000565 – 5800 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / DUI – A man was arrested for Driving Under the Influence following a traffic stop. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
Day Shift January 14
24-000584- 3900 BLK Fountain Avenue – Delayed Assault- The caller reported he and his roommate got into a verbal argument over dirty laundry. He stated the roommate picked his keys and cell phone up from a countertop and he attempted to get them back. He was able to get his keys back, but his cell phone wound up being thrown to the floor. During this time, his hand was somehow scratched. He also allegedly struck him in the face with a closed fist.
23-00569- 900 BLK Stateline Road- Recovered Vehicle – Police located a stolen vehicle out of Chattanooga in the 900 BLK of Stateline Road. The vehicle was a 2018 Nissan Rogue Gray in color with a TN Tag. The vehicle was located prior to CPD entering it into NCIC. The owner was contacted to pick up the vehicle without incident.
24-000582 – 5300 BLK Weaver Street – Arrest – A man was taken into custody during a traffic stop for criminal impersonation.
Night Shift January 14
24-000611 – 6000 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / DUI – A man was taken into custody at this location for driving under the influence during an encounter. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
24-000597 – I-24 West MM 182.3 – Auto Broken Down – Officers assisted a driver who ran out of gas with refueling his vehicle ahead of the forecasted winter weather.
Day Shift January 15
24-000617- 900 BLK State Line Road- Auto Theft- The victim advised at 0130 hours this morning; two males were observed on his Ring camera going from car to car pulling door handles. He woke up this morning around 0800 hours and saw his car had been stolen. He believes the two suspects observed on the video are responsible. The vehicle, a black 2018 Infiniti with left side damage was entered in NCIC. Later in the shift officers were notified by SIRIUS-XM of the vehicle location in the 1500 BLK of Lockhart Lane (vacant lot). There were no suspects located with the vehicle. The vehicle was released to the owner and removed from NCIC.
Night Shift January 15
24-000644 – 5700 BLK Roper Street – Suspicious Activity – Police were dispatched to the area regarding two juveniles breaking into cars. Upon locating the juveniles, both fled from officers. After initiating a foot pursuit through apartments officers placed one of the juveniles into custody. The juvenile was found to be in possession of multiple items belonging to different individuals. The juvenile was taken pending medical clearance to be transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
