The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along” reports.
Jan 15 Day Shift
1619 Castleberry Avenue- Vehicle Burglary-
Upon arrival police spoke to the victim. He advised sometime between 2200 hours on 1-14-20 and 1200 hours on 1-15-20 an unknown suspect entered his vehicle by breaking out the driver’s side vent window. He advised the inside was ransacked but nothing appeared to be missing.
12 Laurel Lane- Suspicious Vehicle-
While on patrol officers observed a silver Hyundai with crash damage parked at the abandoned property. This is a known location to locate stolen vehicles. Upon running TN registration #9G73M1 it came back negative stolen at this time. Police attempted to contact the owner of the vehicle but were unable to locate a good contact number for her. At this time the vehicle was left sitting at the above location.
6700 Ringgold Road (Quality Inn)- Suicidal Threats/Warrant Service-
Police, Fire, and EMS were contacted by the Veteran’s Crisis Line regarding a female in a motel threatening to harm herself. They provided a latitude/longitude coordinate to the cell tower located behind East Ridge Residence with a .6-mile radius. After contacting the area motels, she was found to be registered at the Quality Inn. Her room was checked but she was not there. A short time later she was found at the Econo-lodge in the lobby. She was found to have Bradley County warrants. Upon release from the hospital she was transported to exit 11 and turned over to Bradley County.
3402 Frawley Street- Deceptive Practice-
Upon arrival police spoke to the complainant. She advised on December 23rd, 2019 at 0949 hours she received a phone call from (888)741-1115 regarding fraudulent use of her Direct Express card. At that time the complainant hung up on the caller. She received a second phone call on the same date but at 1855 hours. This time the complainant spoke with them and provided her information to receive a replacement card. She noticed she never received a replacement card in the mail, so she checked the balance of her card and realized someone had emptied her account. The victim then called Direct Express and was advised she was never contacted by them and that she did not have a replacement card on the way. The victim advised her card had been used two times at an ATM in Georgia. The first transaction was for $500 and second time for $580. The victim was advised she would need to contact the respective agency the ATM was located to report that incident. There are no suspects.

Night Shift
5816 Ringgold Road / Burglary in Progress:
A passerby called in to report that someone was breaking into the UHaul business at this location. The caller did not give any suspect information and disconnected. Police made contact with a black male behind the business who refused to give any identification or reason as to why he was at the business. The male was identified as Keegan G. who was found to be at the business to return a key.
6514 Ringgold Road / Arrest:
Police made a traffic stop at this location and arrested Bobby White Jr. for driving on revoked driver’s license and driving under the influence.
6500 Ringgold Rd. / Arrest:
David Helsel was arrested for driving on revoked, criminal impersonation, and felony warrants through Ga. Following a traffic stop at this location.
100 Hilldale Drive (Ridgeside) / Dog Attack:
While patrolling the City of Ridgeside, police were flagged down to investigate a possible dog attack. Two pit bull dogs attacked a woman walking her beagle puppy. The dogs bit the puppy on the leg and jumped on the woman. She was not injured. Police contacted the Humane Society to take the dogs into custody. Police followed the two dogs as they walked the neighborhood. Police lost visual on the two on Lynncrest Drive. No further action required of police.
5340 Ringgold Road / Vandalism:
The resident called in to make a police report on a vandalism that occurred between 1/11/2020 and 1/14/2020 while he was out of town. His red Chevrolet van was parked in the parking lot of this address and when he returned from vacation it had new damage to the passenger side rear door.
5310 Clemons Road / Vandalism:
The resident called in to report her ex was seen vandalizing her vehicle at this address. All four tires were stabbed and flat. Warrants for vandalism were taken for the man.
