Day Shift January 10: Alpha Team
25-000360- 4000 BLK S Terrace- Disorder with a Weapon/Arrest – Police responded to this address and spoke with the female complainant. She advised she had thrown a snowball at her son. Her son threatened to kill her so she got her firearm to protect herself. The male then choked the victim and took the gun from her. The suspect was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.
25-000366 – 5400 BLK DuPont Street – Suspicious Vehicle – A resident of the apartments reported a heavyset male was driving around the property in a black Chevy Camaro with the caution lights flashing and honking the horn. Officers located the subject who claimed he became lost looking for his cousin’s apartment. Police were able to determine the “cousin” resided at the apartment complex next door and sent him on his way.
Night Shift January 10: Charlie Team
25-000373 – 3700 BLK Anderson Avenue – Domestic Disorder – Police responded to a disorder at this residence and found that the man and woman were intoxicated and had a verbal argument. The individuals agreed to separate for the night.
25-000378 – 1600 BLK Mack Smith Road – Domestic Assault – Police responded to a disorder involving four individuals. Officers determined a man had come home intoxicated and began arguing with his adult sister and juvenile niece. He then assaulted his sister and continued arguing with his niece. Another male at the home intervened and physically stopped the fight. The suspect was taken into custody and charged with Domestic Assault.
Day Shift January 11: Alpha Team
25-000387 – 3600 BLK Larry Lane – Domestic Assault Delayed – Police met a female at a business to investigate a delayed assault. She alleged her ex-boyfriend had choked her and fired a pistol into the wall during the altercation that occurred earlier in the day after an argument regarding a new person she was dating. Police observed bruising on her neck. Officers relocated to Larry Lane and found the suspect in the basement after being given consent to search. He was taken into custody and transported to jail without incident. A search warrant was executed on the residence. A firearm and a spent shell casing were found along with other firearm accessories.
25-000390- 3600 BLK Ringgold Road- Narcotics Violation/ Arrest – Officers were on another call at the business when management brought a Coach purse that was left in a buggy. Officers looked inside the purse to find an identification for the owner and found four blue unidentified pills and a bottle with a broken glass smoking pipe. Moments later a woman asked police if someone had found her purse and turned it in. Officers asked her about the narcotics inside her purse and she stated, “someone must have placed the narcotics inside her purse when she left it in the buggy.” She was misdemeanor cited for possession of legend drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Night Shift January 11: Charlie Team
25-000400 – 6000 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft of Property / Arrest – The manager reported two individuals had stolen a bottle of liquor and left in a rented box truck. The manager provided police with a video of the incident. Officers located the vehicle next to a hotel and found it occupied by the suspects. It was determined that two were intoxicated. Both were arrested and charged with Public Intoxication and Theft of Property.
25-000402 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Rd – Vehicle Fire / Arrest – Police and Fire Department units responded to a vehicle fire at a hotel. Police located a blue van with smoke emanating from it. Officers found that the driver was attempting to fix a flat tire by lighting gasoline in it. No significant fire damage was located other than burnt personal items. Police also located a glass pipe with burnt residue in the man’s possession. He was cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
25-000395 – 5300 BLK Lazard Street – Animal Call – Police and Animal Control Services responded to the report of an abandoned dog behind a residence. Officers located the dog with no food or shelter. Animal Control took custody of the dog and will investigate the incident.
Day Shift January 12: Alpha Team
25-000418 – 400 BLK Scruggs Road – Theft from Vehicle – Police responded to the parking lot to investigate a theft from a Freightliner. There, they spoke with the driver who had rented a parking space for 90 days. He arrived at the lot today and discovered an in-cab refrigerator/freezer was removed from the vehicle. No signs of forced entry were observed.
Night Shift January 12: Charlie Team
25-000430 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Violation / Arrest – Following a traffic stop, a woman was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, and Driving while License Suspended. She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
25-000433 – 1600 BLK Springvale Road – Shots Fired – Police responded to several complaints of gunshots in the wooded area near Springvale Road and Clemons Road. Officers checked the area and spoke with multiple residents who provided similar information. The exact location of the gunshots could not be determined due to the dark conditions and dense undergrowth. No suspects were identified, and no property damage or injuries were reported.
Day Shift January 13: Bravo Team
25-000444 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Rd – Suspicious Person – A man, observed shirtless walking east on Ringgold Rd, stated he was heading to Catoosa County to register as a sex offender. No active warrants were found. He was allowed to continue walking.
25-000450 – 6000 BLK Ringgold Rd– Suspicious Person – A man was panhandling at the business and asked to leave by management. Officers informed him soliciting wasn’t permitted. He left via Uber without further incident.
25-000461 – Camp Jordan – Theft – A woman reported her wallet stolen from her unlocked vehicle while walking at Camp Jordan. Items included her GA DL, credit/debit cards, $6 cash, nursing license, and SSN card. Fraudulent charges exceeding $1,000 were attempted. She was advised to cancel cards and notify the relevant agencies.
Night Shift January 13: Charlie Team
25-000469 – 1400 BLK ST Thomas ST – Domestic Assault – A party reported that her brother hit her in the face before stating he was going to take her car for a drive. He was gone when the police arrived. Warrants are being sought for Domestic Assault and joyriding.
25-000470-5300 BLK Connell Street – Suspicious Activity – A caller reported the neighbor was shooting fireworks toward the caller’s house. Police spoke with the residents and advised them fireworks were against city ordinance. They agreed to no longer shoot fireworks.
