Day Shift February 24, 2023
23-002245 – Bennett Road/South Seminole Road – Suspicious Person – Police were dispatched to this location regarding a female and male yelling and crying. Police made contact with the pair. The man had an active order of protection enjoining him from contacting the woman. He was taken into custody and transport to Hamilton County Jail.
23-002258 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft –The complainant advised a male sold her a gift card for the amount of $170 dollars in which she paid $80 dollars for. The victim checked the gift card in which balance to the card was zero dollars. Police are seeking warrants.
23-002243- 5400 BLK Marion Ave- Burglary of a vehicle- Police responded to this location for a burglary of a vehicle. The vehicle was broken into between 2000 hours on 2/23/2023 and 0530 hours on this date. Unknown suspects entered the vehicle and pulled out the ignition and pulled out the console under the steering column. The unknown suspects left several items behind, including a screwdriver, a chisel, a knife and a flashlight. Only item taken from the vehicle was a holder for a name tag.
23-002252- 1000 Bass Pro Dr- Shoplifter/Drug Arrest – A woman was observed by loss prevention selecting and concealing several items in her purse and shopping cart. After being contacted by police it was found she had an extraditable warrant through Walton County, Georgia for narcotics. While recovering the stolen merchandise police also located marijuana, paraphernalia, and 3.3 grams of methamphetamine, as well as drug paraphernalia. She was taken into custody and charged accordingly.
23-002262 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Rd –Suspicious Activity – The manager called to report multiple juveniles in the store being unruly and causing issues. Police arrived on scene and observed multiple juveniles in the store who were then ordered to leave by the manager. As the juveniles were leaving a male employee started a verbal altercation with the manager to show his disapproval of her request. All parties exited the store without further incident.
23-002269 – 5300 BLK Haisten Ct – Assist EMS – Police responded to this location on a male party that was possibly unconscious. On arrival the party was still conscious but lethargic. ERFD administered one (1) Narcan and the subject began to respond. It was undetermined what was affecting the subject and he was transported to the hospital by EMS.
Night Shift February 24, 2023
23-002275 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – Officers responded regarding a theft. Officers spoke with loss prevention and reviewed security camera footage of the incident. Upon further investigation police were able to positively identify the suspect in the theft. Warrants are currently being sought.
23-00279 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Rd – Public Intox / Drug Arrest – Police were called to this area regarding a well-being check. Callers stated a female was sitting on the exit ramp in the rain. The female was seen in the middle of the road swinging her arms around. She was arrested for public intoxication and possessing hydrocodone pills.
23-002295 – San Hsi @ Gibson Street – DUI – A female was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop at this location.
23-002294 – 800 S. Germantown Road – Arrest – A man was stopped and taken into custody for DUI.
Day Shift February 25, 2023
No number assigned- 6400 BLK Ringgold Road- Suspicious Person- Officers made contact with two subjects who were sleeping outside of the business. Both parties were asked to leave by police days earlier and failed to do so. Both parties were checked for warrants and told to once again leave after am advisory about city ordinances.
23-002307-6500 BLK Slater Road- Suspicious Person- Employees called advising there were a male and female in the store asking people for money and loitering. Police made contact with them and both parties were trespassed from the property at the request of store employees.
Night Shift February 25, 2023
23-002327 – 500 BLK Camp Jordan Pkwy – Arrest – Police were dispatched regarding a fight. Dispatch informed officers that four people were possibly fighting in the parking lot. Upon arrival police spoke with all parties involved. A man and woman were taken into custody for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
23-002329 – 1500 BLK Mack Smith Road – Arrest – Following a traffic stop at this location a man was taken into custody for DUI and reckless driving. He was also charged with implied consent.
23-002326 – I-75 NB – Assist another agency – Police were called to an address in Chattanooga regarding shots fired / property damage that allegedly happened in East Ridge. Once on scene police learned the RP was intoxicated and stated his back window got shot out in Catoosa Co. GA.
23-002313 – 6600 Ringgold Road – MVC Injuries / Missing Person – Police responded to a single vehicle crash at this location. Police determined the driver to be very confused and suffering from dementia and a missing person from Carter County, Tennessee. The driver was transported to the hospital by police for evaluation. His family was notified of his location. The driver was removed from NCIC as missing.
23-002318 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A woman was arrested at this location for an active East Ridge Warrant (PTR- possession of Cocaine). She was transported by the Chattanooga Police Department to the Hamilton County Jail.
23-002320 – 600 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Public Intox – A man was arrested for Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct at this location following disorder.
Day Shift February 26, 2023
23-002336 – 3500 BLK Shelby Cir – Found Property – Police were dispatched to this location regarding found property. Officers made contact with the homeowner who advised this morning around 0800 hours he went outside his home and found a black wallet with three debit cards in his driveway. Police determined the wallet owner due to the debt cards having his name on them.
23-002334 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Rd – Trespassing/Arrest – Officers were summoned to trespass an unwanted party. The party left prior to police arrival but while searching for him officers located a tent commune under the bridge in the 6700 block. Police identified multiple parties. One was found to have a verified warrant through East Ridge he was taken into custody and transported to the jail. The other parties were encouraged to gather all their earthly belongings and relocate to an approved campsite. They were warned about unlawful camping and given 48 hours to vacate or face prosecution.
23-002344 – 3700 Ringgold Rd – Arrest – Police received a BOLO at approximately 11:30 that a stolen Hyundai may be in the area of East Ridge or Brainerd. Police located the vehicle a short timer traveling west in the 3700 block of Ringgold Rd. The driver was taken into custody for possession of a stolen vehicle, driving while license revoked, DUI and open container law violation. He was transported to the jail without incident.
23-002346 – 1100 BLK South St Marks – Civil Matter – Officers responded with a representative from AIM housing to check the well-being of a tenant at this address. Tenant wasn’t home but several parties not on the AIM agreement were. They were told to vacate. AIM representatives will respond to the address again on Monday to insure the house is vacated.
23-002350 – 4214 Ringgold Rd – Warrant Service – A man turned himself into East Ridge Police on an outstanding warrant.
23-002341 – 500 BLK Camp Jordan Pkwy – Check the Well-being – Police responded after a concerned customer called and reported a male subject appeared to be too aggressive with a small child. Police arrived on scene but it was found the male party was admonishing the child for behavior. The child was found to still be in good spirits.
23-002345 – 201 Eads St – Drug Overdose – Officers responded to an apartment for a possible drug overdose. Police spoke with a family member of the resident who advised the party possibly experienced a medical event and took approximately four days’ worth of medication. EMS arrived and transported the party to a local hospital.
23-002347 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Rd – Assist EMS – Officers were summoned to the Shell Gas Station, in reference to a possible unconscious party/CPR-in-Progress. The patient regained consciousness and scurried into the restroom of the business. Police contacted the party who was now conscious and appeared to be experiencing a medical issue due to possibly using narcotics. EMS arrived and evaluated the patient and transported her to the hospital.
23-002351 – 6800 BLK Beulah Dr – Assist EMS/Civil Matter – Police responded to this location for another possible unconscious party. Police spoke with the nephew of the patient who advised he came to his estranged uncle’s residence and found him barely conscious on the floor in his bedroom. EMS arrived and assisted the patient. While on scene a resident requested the party relinquish the key he had to the residence but was refused. After much mediation between the parties, the man, who did not reside at the residence, agreed to relinquish the key to the property provided it was acknowledged he had property there. When asked for identification he presented a decades old paper ID he claimed was from the Cherokee Nation. The nephew requested the residence be place on the watch list for the next two weeks.
23-002353 – 5300 BLK Dupont St – Theft – The resident reported her brother stole her PlayStation 5 when he came to her residence to clean approximately five days ago. She presented police a recording of their conversation where he admitted to stealing the item and pawning it in Brainerd. She stated her brother resides in a homeless camp in the woods behind the Brainerd Walmart and wanted the money to support his drug habit. A warrant will be sought for theft.
Night Shift February 26, 2023
23-002365 – 500 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Aggravated Assault – Police responded regarding a disorder with a weapon. Through the investigation police determined who had committed aggravated assault and was in possession of a firearm while intoxicated. The man was located by police inside the restaurant with the firearm that was described by witnesses in his pocket. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
23-002363/23-002368 – 1400 BLK N Smith Street – Well-being check – Police were dispatched regarding a man going through a crisis. Dispatch stated he called a friend and told him he was losing his mind. He did not want to harm himself but going through a tough time because of family issues. Police were sent back to this address approximately four hours later. This time his wife called from out of country stating she can see him on a live security camera trying to break glass and harm himself. After contacting the man for a second time, he stated he went in the kitchen to get a drink but wasn’t trying to harm himself in anyway. Family members in the home confirmed he was on the couch and not trying to harm himself.
23-002369 – 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road – Disorder – Police were requested by staff regarding an elderly resident who wouldn’t go back to her room. Police arrived and helped the elderly resident to her room.
