Day Shift February 20
24-002190 – 1300 BLK West End Avenue – Animal Cruelty – Police assisted East Ridge Animal Services on call on West End Ave after a neighbor informed them of a dog being kept in a room with no water and food. Police observed the dog being surrounded by its feces and no access to water or food. Police and Animal Services were able to retrieve the dog and transfer it to East Ridge Animal Shelter. The owner of the dog came on scene and was cited in lieu of arrest for animal cruelty.
24-002170 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road-Criminal Trespass Arrest – ERPD responded to a discharged patient who was refusing to leave the ER room. After issuing a Criminal Trespass warning and given ample time to comply, the party was arrested for Criminal Trespass.
24-002186 – 200 BLK Eads Streets – Criminal Impersonation – ERPD responded on a report of a male dressed in all red who had been walking the grounds since earlier in the morning. The man dressed is all red was encountered just outside the apartment complex. When asked his name he identified himself. Although this person, later identified as another name, appeared to be much older, the information was run through NCIC and out of GA where he stated he lived. When asked again, he gave a different date of birth. He then chose to give yet another name. He was taken into custody for Criminal Impersonation and later positively identified at the jail. The man stated he lied because he has outstanding warrants, which turned out not to be true either.
24-002184-4100 BLK Ringgold Rd.- Found Property – The caller reported finding a black purse behind the air conditioning unit at this location. The purse appeared to be in like new, unused condition, and did not contain anything. The purse was recovered and placed into the property room.
Night Shift February 20
24-002209 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Suspicious Activity – Police checked the wooded area near the zip line at Camp Jordan due to reports of vandalism and suspicious activity. Police also checked the zip line storage building and the adjoining trail areas. Police did not locate anyone but noted several signs of homeless people frequenting the area. Police will continue to check and monitor the area.
24-002199 – 1500 BLK Tombras Avenue – Theft – The RP lost her Cash App debit card and TN Driver’s license while at the playground. An unknown suspect took the debit card and used it at a gas station on this date. Police will seek warrants for theft upon identification of suspect.
24-002212 – 7600 BLK Standifer Gap Road – Warrant Service – A man was served with an active East Ridge forfeiture capias warrant for possession of schedule one while in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.
24-002213 – Ringgold Road / Mack Smith Road – Suicidal – Police observed a female in the roadway who seemed to be upset. Upon making contact, she was identified and advised police that she was having suicidal ideations following her recent drug use. Police transported her for a mental health evaluation.
