The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”
January 30 – Day Shift
372 Camp Jordan Road (auto theft):
The resident contacted police to report his car stolen during the early morning hours. The owner does not currently have any paperwork for the vehicle which is showing to have been recently registered to another person in Dunlap, TN.
601 Walnut Street (warrant service):
Travis Walker was arrested at the Hamilton County Jail on an active East Ridge warrant.

January 30 – Night Shift
5301 Ringgold Rd. / Robbery:
Police received a call in reference to a theft in progress at the Walgreen’s. Upon arrival police observed the parties described in the parking lot throwing merchandise into their vehicle. As police pulled on scene the suspect vehicle rammed an East Ridge police unit in an attempt to escape. The vehicle then pulled forward and attempted a second time before officers were able to remove the parties from the vehicle. It was determined Lateefah Johnson and Vanessa Woodard had stolen $3,677.19 worth of merchandise from the store and upon their exit Kerry McKinney assaulted the manager of the store. Woodard was charged with theft over $2,500 and robbery. McKinney was charged with Theft over $2,500, robbery, and assault. Johnson was charged with driving on revoked, unauthorized use of disabled parking, theft over $2,500, robbery, and two counts of aggravated assault on police. Johnson was also found to have 11 active warrants though Hamilton County for similar charges.
2115 Eledge Road (Shots Fired/Drug Arrest):
Resident at 4005 Bennett Road reported multiple shots fired coming from the area of Eledge Rd. Police made contact with multiple parties at 2115 Eledge Rd. A .380 pistol was recovered from a vehicle. Carlos Perez was arrested for Public Intoxication, Underage Consumption, Possession of Firearm While Intoxicated, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Perla Flores was arrested for Public Intoxication, Underage Consumption, Disorderly Conduct, and Felony Possession of Schedule VI. A 14-year-old juvenile was arrested for disorderly conduct. This residence is possibly the origin of the first shots fired call.
6515 Ringgold Rd / Disorder:
While located at Champy’s James Henderson was asked to leave after attempting to smoke in the establishment. He became angry and exposed himself to the waitress. When police arrived, Henderson was in the road yelling at officers. Henderson was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct.
141 Cecil Lane (Shots Fired):
Resident called reporting a gunshot coming from somewhere northeast of that location. Nothing located.
3409 Gail Dr 21-001334 (Shots fired):
Police responded to this address after multiple people hearing shots fired. Address listed was shot three times. Unknown suspect information. CID responded to the scene.
4500 Ringgold Rd/ Warrant Service:
Following a traffic stop, police arrested Belinda Travis and her husband Anthony Travis for two active theft of property warrants form Criminal Court.
4214 Ringgold Rd 21-001320 (warrant):
Brandon Nolan arrested and booked at the Hamilton County Jail on ERPD warrant for driving on suspended/revoked DL.
6726 Ringgold Rd (Exit 1A Fireworks)/ Alarm:
Police were called to the business in reference to a front door alarm. Upon arrival police discovered the front door to be unsecured. Police checked the building and did not find anything out of place. A responsible responded and reset the alarm.

January 31 – Day Shift
3609 Ringgold Road (theft):
Police came into contact with the assistant manager for Family Dollar. She stated two black females entered the store today, removed multiple items from shelves and hangers and left the store. Suspects are unknown at this time.
3306 Ringgold Road (burglary):
Police spoke with an employee with Linda’s Produce, who reported an overnight burglary of the business. The wiring for the video camera system was cut, a back window was broken out, and a propane heater and multiple packs of bacon were stolen.
1417 St. Thomas Avenue (disorder):
Police responded to the Motel 6 concerning a verbal altercation in the hallway. Treniece Lane of Room 225 was determined to be the person causing the disorder. The situation was resolved when Lane was arrested on an East Ridge warrant.
5707 Ringgold Road (warrant service):
Darian Dedman was arrested on two East Ridge warrants along with a new charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

January 31 – Night Shift
1410 Mack Smith Rd room(4109)/ Disorder (21-001364):
Following a disorder complaint police arrested Bryan Yates for Aggravated Child endangerment and drug paraphernalia.
915 S. Seminole Dr:
Tamecia Payne was issued a misdemeanor citation for Driving While Suspended 2nd Offense following a traffic stop.
1700 John Ross Rd (Narcotics Arrest):
Dekedrick Fisher was arrested for Felony Possession of Schedule VI after 46 grams of marijuana were recovered on a traffic stop.
3700 Ringgold Rd (DUI/Child Endangerment):
Traffic stop conducted due to suspicion of DUI. Driver identified himself as Celso Lopez and could not identify his date of birth or where he lived. No ID found. His 11-year-old son was in the car. Lopez was arrested for DUI, Child Endangerment and multiple traffic offenses. Passenger Edgar Chilel-Niz was arrested for Public Intoxication and Resisting. The juvenile was turned over to a family friend. Report was filed with DCS.
3800 Ringgold Rd / Arrest:
Edgar Chilel-Niz was taken into custody for public intoxication and resisting arrest following a traffic stop where he was the passenger of the vehicle. Chilel-Niz was intoxicated to the point he continued to try and stand in the roadway in the way of oncoming traffic. When police attempted to detain him, he became hostile and combative towards officers. Compliance was eventually gained through the use of a department issued Taser.
